primal rage is weaker, but still usable. with the new focus to split play, it will probably see some play there.

with dstrike gone, hammer bars might start seeing the return of irresistible blow or protector's strike.

I think over the years it has been established that IAS on a sin compressing its spike has always been a problem.

Tiger's fury is just bad for that bar, costs 10 more energy than flail. Everyone is back to using flurry again.

Not that this makes a differnce, but...

[illusion of haste] on a PD mesmer, combined with a reduce cripple shield + runes makes the Mesmer go choo choo.

It's pretty nice actually.

Also, [Illusion of Haste] is really impressive now. The speed ratio is similar to storm djinns without fast cast, plus its' a condition remover. The previous cripple duration was a real drawback when you wanted to stop maintaining it, but as mentioned with cripple equipment that's gone. I think it can show up on real flaggers (rits) if they find something else useful in the illusion line.

I really hate this balance update it really showed the retardation of Anet once again.

First of all i'm wondering why people are still saying PR is viable. The skill obviously got ether renewaled.

But most important is the nerf on read the winds. The skill was fine for 4 years, and then they nerf it for no reason whatsoever. If you want to stop turret rangers, how about taking a look at their elite that deals 111 armor ignoring damage, and how about taking a look at hunters shot. Nerfing read the winds is just supergay because it was a cornerstone in many byob/ra/ta/ab/pve builds.

The nerf on ritrunners is something i fear, because it will probably bring monkrunners back. The most boring and deteriorating role ever in the history of guild wars. I'd rather run a paragon than a monkrunner.

The self heal buff was quite random and pointless. It's not like healing signet does anything... Hell, i play byob, the most splitheavy build/strategy in guild wars, and we don't use self heals because they're shit. Healing breeze on eles is key.

Aura of restoration is extremely shitty. Because it doesn't really heal you at all, it's more something for random arena where you take random damage all the time and can always use some healing.

at 10 energy storage spec, every time the ele casts a 10 energy spell, he gets healed for 40 hp (weapon of warding, hinthint), and gain 1 energy. that's effectively giving a self divine boon bonus on all spells. the amount of healing can really add up, and is hardly insignificant.

i think the thing about splitting nowadays is usually 1 team has the heavy advantage or they don't engage, resulting in self heals not being worth it because when you need it, its not enough to save you.

Monk runners could be pretty lame, but one of the most annoying things about them was that they could pretty much shut down physical splits against them. With (slight) buffs to caster splitting, especially some sort of splitting mesmer character, this might be less of an issue this time, because a monk hiding behind npcs can still get owned.

But who knows right now. Hard to gauge.
