I used to play a similar dual para build with shatterstorm back in the day, it was rape.
also, I think shat will be taking gold.

1. Shat. They've been very active (always a plus) and seem to actually have gained some build variety this time around, so hopefully they can't be buildwarsd out this time. Also nH builds greatest weakness (against people who carry expel hexes) was rawrbuild before the last mAt, so in my opinion if shat can find a good new version they are set. And they've run a couple contenders.
2. Rawr. Betting against them is stupid. See above comment about rawrbuild. But I think their lack of playtime should finally catch up to them and at least deprive them of a gold. But who knows.
3. BOSS. They are basically the games ultimate gimmick guild, but they do it well.
4. BadV. The 1 warrior 2 ele split build looks like the most fun build to be playing right now (and is really interesting to watch). I'd love for it to kick some ass in the mAT, but badv might not take that route.
5. Steel Phoenix. Just because.
6. No Honor. Lots of playtime is (again) a bonus. They also seem to have gained some build variety, so hopefully they can pull off something suprising in the tournament. On the downside they seem to have some wildly inconsistent playing, especially with their backline.
7. KMD. Recent performance has not been that encouraging.
8. Dangerous Pumpkins. They are good at pressure, but I don't see them getting quite as far as last time.
9. Yumy. Hey theres some good players wouldn'tcha know.
10. Dirt.

Monk with redbar skill and a spike skill that does 50+ damage
Monk with skill that negates hexes/conditions and a spike skill that does 50+ damage.
Both monks need Aegis, not enough blocks and blind without it.
Runner with spike skill of at least 100 damage, party heals, something that destroys pressure, and some snare that comes out of the blue.
With this, you should be able to make matches go to 28 minutes, make sure your opponents get ventRage for 28 minutes through swinging through block and blind for 28 minutes, and you can kill something cleanly every 30 seconds with 900 damage, because you're assuming they will run Endure Pain.
I have the build, will trade for a gold cape.

Oh, the sad but true story of the guildwars meta game. Every time something gay comes around, something even more gay comes in and replaces it.
My picks
1st - Rebel Rising Extended Edition
2nd - Seppo Hovi Action Team
3rd - Edible Granite Pencil (I'm pulling for you guys for gold, but I put you in 3rd. please prove me wrong =D )
4th - No Honor
5th - Dangerous Pumpkins
6th - Straight Outta Kamadan
7th - On Ne Plaisant Pas Avec Patrons
8th - Anonymous Amateurs

I would probably have the reform of Seven Spears of Shizugatake or whatever as potential top 8. Coming Out of Retirement [SSS]? I think they're definitely stronger than some of the guilds being thrown around here. You can laugh me right out of Gladiator's Arena but SpNv definitely has potential also, despite being weaker these past few months. They're strong enough to potentially beat many of the teams listed here, but they keep making unbelievably catastrophic mistakes that lose them games they'd otherwise won.
A great example would be that match vs. dP where SpNv wipes everything after time (26 minutes or something) in their base aside from dP's backline, then Barty runs around the side and fleshes a frontliner, who then sets off a res chain. dP's entire damage component suicides on SpNv's lord, and SpNv loses the damage race by like 500 points or something.

SSS seems pretty weak to me tbh, even the original guild wasn't very good and the reform doesnt seem much better.
As for SpNv, there's a reason they fell so far down the ladder, and it's not forfeiting ATs. As for the particular match you're referring to, dP had a monk drop right at the start causing SpNv to get a boost right away and 15 dp on pretty much all of dP (as well as getting some NPCs down) I very much doubt that match would have lasted anywhere near as long as it did otherwise.
Also I'm not really sure why you would base your predictions on a single match that was played several weeks ago..

My thoughts:
1. Shat: with their great offense they can afford to run the type of defensive builds they play. Good tactics and strong spikes as always make them top contender.
2. KK (NOW): if they make it past the more splitable maps, the'll outspike all other guilds 8v8...also that 8 ele build is pretty cool.
3. rawr: provided they don't play some terrible dual paragon build they still have the experience and tactics to go far, despite some recent losses and the loss of their build.
4. BadV: good at splitting and a decent spike if needed, also strong backline is strong.
5. dP: although we haven't had alot of practice with different builds, that didn't stop us from coming in 3rd and 4th last two times...
6. hent: strong spike and alot of practise make them a not so dark horse pick.
7. KMD: despite having great players they seem to be struggling...
8. nH: if their backline holds up they might go higher.
Other contenders: SkY (their pressure build gave us a hard time on burning), hi, yumy.
