Why? Shats been running slight variants of the rawr build that have done fine. Also most people seem to running something similar to the nH build which used to have the most trouble with . . . the rawr build. Yeah rawr used the nH build to beat shat running their build, but that worked because shat dropped the expel hexes (and didn't expect rawr to run anything like what they ran). I mean, I'm sure rawr will face a lot of dark escapes, but even with the nerfs their build faced, they will probably be fine. There are still alot of spike skills and alot of defensive skills. Izzy did not actually prevent the rawr formula from working.
Or maybe rawr will do something crazy and play a pressure build most of the time, and none of what I just typed is even slightly relevant.

No matter what rawr runs it will automatically be deemed imba and breaking the game if they win.
So I'm hoping they fun [foul feast] cuz it's been a long time coming for that skill to go down in flames.

I expect this. Rawr play whatever they think is strongest and "rawrspike" doesn't look like it anymore. A talented team like SHAT is still having trouble on obs mode with their newer version; losing RC is a bigger deal than most realize, nor is shatterstorm as good as rend.
I think NOW style can still pull the spike build thing fairly well, but I guess rawr doesn't like it's weakness to splits? or something, with only 3 healers.

I must have missed some matches because shat seemed to be doing really well with the rawr build that I saw, /shrug. Not the paragon one, but the one that was basically the old rawr spike with a couple ranger changes (paragon secondary) and a couple other things.

IDK I thought I saw them lose to vent rage or someone #50ish running nH style build, that doesn't qualify as "strong" in my book... yes I'm sure they will make top 16 with the build and are likely to place highly, but that isn't enough for gold trim.
Then again the build may be fine, and it might just be that Rawr knows SHAT will run the build better, so they look for a counter-build... it's more I'm guessing Rawr will run something different than the build being terrible.

I'm pretty sure theyre just playing that build so it's harder to spec them, in important matches I don't think they'd run it.

Yeah. So. Two months worth of predictions with 0 points acquired. Either I FAIL at predictions or my luck is that sorry. I'll try one more time this month, if I strike out again I'll gather the torches and pitch forks and start a mob.

What's so hard...
1. Go to: http://www.guildwars.com/competitive/ladder/default.php
2. Pick 8-10 teams with more than 20 QPS from top 40
As it looks right now, it would be:
10 Shat
14 AA
15 BOSS
16 nH
23 Badv
27 OG
31 EUR
34 hent
35 VR
38 yummy
3. Post them as your possible predictions and let the others tell you how bad you are for picking someone's smurf, for picking AA who's got no chance for top 8 or for not picking KMD who's been tanking below 40.
4. If you don't have rawr on your #1 (they play on smurf, been said all over the place), you diminish your chances to max RPS quite a lot.
5. You can check whatever else you want, like obs mode, forums and so on, and you'll get a pretty decent idea who's missing in your predictions (for ex, kmd and rawr in my list of 10 above)
6. You now have 8-10-12 teams to choose from. If you've got 4 accounts like I do you can do it like with lotto, just shuffle them around. If not, take 30 seconds and pick random.
If you do the above, you're guaranteed to get a min of 80 RPS from your predictions (if you repeat the model for 1v1 as well).
Cheers!
(you can donate 5 zkeys to me from this month's predictions wins)

Seconded, what a strong guild. Who knew 12 year olds could come this far!
Seriously though why is everyone picking vR for top 8? Are you all on something?

Rather funny how everyone seems to think shat is such a big threat to rawr, and not guilds like KMD anymore. A couple of months ago it was always KMD vs rawr :P
And I have a feeling rawr won't do too well this month, and they think so too, which is why they are thinking of smurfing this month? Dunno just a thought.

rawr is smurfing this month because their build, rawrspike, took a big hit. I wouldn't want to be in this monthly, either, if I were them given the awkward metagame.

Basically everyone is getting wind of how beatable we are, and we're ducking for cover to minimize collateral damage while we find the next big imbalance to obfuscate our skill inadequacies with.

Asps posts always give me the impression that rawr is more surprised than anyone else when they win monthlys.
