Rank Discrimination
Can't believe it's still going on, trying to get into a team in Heroes Ascent is somewhat impossible if you're not ranked, basically meaning anyone who is ranked gets more fame while people who aren't ranked are overlooked, never gain fame, never gain rank, and are never given the opportunity to play in the higher forms of PvP.
I believe reading somewhere the people "who don't play in HA, don't PvP", perhaps they don't play in HA because it's impossible to find a group that's willing to play with anyone below Rank 3, so they're forced to play things like Alliance Battles, Competitive Missions, Random Arenas, Team Arenas, etc
ArenaNet should fix Heroes Ascent Rank Discrimination, it's nearly impossible for a rankless "Noob" (as I've been called many times) to break into the Heroes Ascent scene if they can't get accepted to Groups, we've had experience, we just don't have fame.
Sincerely,
Sir Baddock (47 Month Veteran)

Quite seriously, if you've played 47 months and a. don't have a pvp title to your name, b. don't have any gvg experience in the top 400's, then yes, you probably are a noob.
This has been around in Guild Wars since the beginning.
You're r0. Get some friends, and start playing together.

If you have the time to get those titles you have the time to try and get some fame with friends/unranked players.

This is why people don't take Guild Wars Guru seriously for actual conversations, ohh and I have fame, 4 of it, wasn't easy took about 7 hours of offering ANY build to find a party.
Takes me less time to max 3 Survivors.

Yes, yes you are.
Considering the fact that you probably can't monk under any significant pressure, control melee/monks with blind/snares, you probably can't solo a base, or critically pressure monks as a warrior, or keep constant poison spread on a team, or simply pressure the hell out of a backline with interrupts, yeah, yeah, I'd say you're a "noob".
Just because you have 2 easily farmable titles that have a seriously low-end pvp arena attached to them, with uax and all your pve titles farmed up, doesn't mean you're any good at this game.
It just means that you have a lot of plat, and were able to sledgehammer your way through pve with heroes and pve skills.

GWAMM = God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals, I have well over 30 titles maxed, not just two.
Ohh, GWAMM Character = Monk.
As for money, you're mostly correct, most of it is in the form of Ectos and Minis though Plats are so two years ago. Looks like after my 4th Birthday I'll be looking for a new game to play, I have done everything that's possible.

Ok, you should find some pvp friends and the difference between low and high ranked players is low ranks will QQ like babies if it doesn't go their way. High ranked players will realize the game sucks and uninstall. YOU CAN NOT BE EXPERIENCED IN HA IF YOU HAVE A LOW RANK, DONT KNOW THE MAPS AND HAVENT HELD HALLS. People call you noob because you haven't got a clue about HA, they don't care if you have GWAMM they just care if you have a HA rank because it shows you can mindlessly farm fame with shitty meta builds. That's why gvg mAT's are fun fun fun.
Btw tombs is dead, deal with it.

Tombs = Fresca, who the hell drinks Fresca?
These are my 3 options
a) Quit the game I've been playing since release
b) Buy fame @ 2k/point
c) Wait for hours to get into a group in HA
I'd rather play, so the B and C are out of the question.

Yet Snow Bunny didn't know what GWAMM is, that instantly yells "NOOB!" to me.
Anyways, I guess I'll start giving Blizzard my money until GW2 is released.

Fresca's pretty tasty.
I mean, quit if you want. But most people with rank got it by being patient. You should just take your pve friends and get better.
I know what gwamm is. I just don't give a shit that you have a pve title that you spent 9000 hours on.

If standing in HA for 7 hours while advertising that I can run anything isn't patient I guess I'm not patient. PvP = Broken.
PS: 9000 hours isn't for GWAMM, 20% of it is, rest is AB/TA/RA/Dungeons/UW/FoW/LDoA

I never had a problem with rank discrimination. :] Talk to people, make friends or form your own groups.
Also just because your monk is GWAMM doesn't mean you'll do fine in pvp. I can get GWAMM on a warrior, does that mean I should be top 20 warrior in gvg? No, cause it's not the same. <3
I kinda do agree though with some people, if you're starting pvp this late in the game you've missed your chance.
*EDIT*

Saying you can run anything automatically makes me think you're bad. Specialize in something and stick with it. It's easier and better to be good at one or two things than be meh at everything imo.

Apparently, you tried, but couldn't handle fresca.
Hm, that means you're worse than he is.
Dedicate 9k hours to random pve shit was fine, but dedicating less than a 1000th of that time to do pvp?
Be less bad.

If I actually cared about this conversation (it was obvious from the first reply where it was going) I'd whip out my E-Peen and say something like.
1v1 100k (I'll kill you with my monk).
But because I'm currently buying World of Warcraft and probably won't be back on GWG in a while I guess you can continue this topic but you'll just be supporting my opinion, Ranked > Rankless.
