Magebane: Great skill. Too bad 1) you need to be very good at interrupting; 2) there aren't usually enough blocks to need an unblockable interrupt; 3) worthless if you run into mainly physical teams.
Melshot: Great skill, but you need melee characters on one or both sides for this to be useful.
Cripshot: See Melshot, except the problem is even more pronounced when there aren't physicals.
All this leaves BA as the strongest elite for RA. Someone mentioned Foul Feast earlier in this thread ... but Foul Feast in RA is pretty rare. You'll see it for sure in TA, but not in RA. BA kills, the other Ranger elites largely do not (unless you count Conjure Glass Arrows or things like that). Especially when you have to carry your team to victory it's the elite of choice in my opinion.

Strongly agree, any why would you need a 3RD interupt with magebane in RA.

I won a game with Magebane.
Our war was training their monk who kept Guardian on him at all times. I magebane'd guardian through the block. This allowed the war to attack freely for ~14 seconds.
I am too frustrated with BA right now, but I might consider it again. Everytime I bring Melandru's, I face a team of all casters. Everytime I bring Magebane, its the reverse -_-

I don't really have that problem since i mainly play monk.
However whenever I play something else I always try and give myself a decent amount of utility so I am never useless.
Like I bring disrupting dagger on my Devhammer (although hammers counter everything ).
VoR mesmer i play from time to time and that counters everything.
It's Random Arena's so unless you sync there is alot to do with chance, go with the builds which give you the highest chance of winning the most often.
