Straight Outta Kamadan V Guild Down
just watching this match and KMD got hammered against the 79 ranked Guild Down. was KMD just testing a build? trying new players? or is this a sign that KMD wont get gold or even top 4 this month?

Looked like KMD had their core except for one guest warrior. I wouldn't read too much into one game in an AT in the middle of the month. Besides, PZZZ is on the rise and has some pretty good players. The two teams ran almost identical builds, except the monk bars. KMD ran two WOH's, and PZZZ ran a WOH and a PnH. I think the PnH (and Aegis) made a difference.

Wait, what?
Restore Condition and Peace and Harmony are not prots.
It's just the same bar with Word instead.
They probably ran it in case PZZZ was going to do bloodspike, which they did to KMD in the mAT

probably was gonna throw up aegis, but a spike started and needed to save
also the KMD ranger was running Mel shot and the pzzz was running magebane. might have made some kind of difference. PnH > Mel shot.

KMD was keeping themselves up for the first minute of the match, while Psy was still loading. But, PnH proved to be better support against nHway than dual WoH's.
In other words, BuildWars.

I was expecting a thread like this on teamquitter with screenshots and bragging, not really on guru..
Anyway we didn't expect Psy would load in the match so we decided to just rush in with 7 people see if we could do anything and if not resign, she loaded in after a minute then forgot to bring a flag and we got RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed on flags and couldnt keep up.
We actually kinda build for a split build with the dual WoH mo/w.
Nothing more than a fluke loss really although half of PZZZ felt the need to talk shit, maybe their egos will deflate a bit after next mAT.

Ye, Guild Down is probably the best american guild next to DF. NOT.
I don't know if you really obsed the match or just wrote down here what you see 1:30 after start. PZZZ had problems to keep up the first seconds and flaming kept KMD a long time alive (considering PZZZ played nH).
PZZZ didn't achieve a great thing in defeating KMD, considering the late connect and that flaming was prolly really low on energy when psy came to the mainteam. A goldcape doesn't make superheroes, they are still allowed to lose without reading a guruthread next day. Pz out.

i love that someone who doesnt even know who is the core for KMD and doesnt recognise builds posted this topic. awesome. it was just a random loss with some obvious advantages on PZZZ's side (no pnh, monk load in at 2mins, aegis) happens often enough to someone to not be topic worthy.

rotfl, hahaha, this thread was a nice joke before mitch posted here to explain why kmd lost a single "noone cares" match in some "noone cares" AT. Now, this is just pathetic. And plz tell me, who cares, really?
And about PZZZ, they are pretty bad imo, played 2 scrimmages vs them yesterday, won both in 3 minutes. or less.

Who would have thought that a good guild would lose a GvG because their second Monk didn't load until a minute into the match? I mean, MY GOD!

ive long been a fan of KMD, the perennial power that couldnt ever pull it off till the last monthly, gratz guys. always been a fan of the underdog.
this match was what happens when circumstances get the best of a good team. the KMD build was set for split, as mitch mentioned with dual wohs and zed on melshot instead of the magebane hed been using as of late. when liquid didnt load right away, the decision was made to push with 7 so not only did they have the handicap of 8v7, they had split a build and were forced to 8v7(8) on a split friendly map. also the dual wohs instead of pnh/woh hurt in the 8v7(8)
when liquid did load in, @ 1 min if i recall? the decision had been made to push. then it appeared that they changed plans. the difference between a good match and a bad match is the confidence in the decisions. whether it be the right choice or wrong, in a good match, the team will execute the plan until its finished. the indecision on KMD's part at the point when liquid loaded in is what cost them the match. then PZZZ made the most of the indecision and pushed enough to keep KMD puzzled.
also from what i know of PZZZ, they are quite polar, they can put up great fights and beat good teams, but then lay an egg and lose to bad teams. i recall beating them in an r600 guild a short bit ago. they had a good match and caught KMD in a vulnerable spot. sometimes a bit of luck goes a long way.
