New Elementalist build
I have had lotsa success with this build in AB:
Before Scrutinizing please keep in mind that this is not a solo build it just provides great support!
[ice spikes][deep freeze][frozen burst][glowing ice][water attunement][elemental attunement][aura of restoration][armor of mist]
Water 16, Energy Storage 12.
I use a Insightful Ether Staff of Enchanting and Attunement/Radiant set until I have about 95-100 Energy.
I find that 95% of Abing elementalists are fire so this is a great snare also anti melee, Its offensive enough for AB and I find also defensive enough aswell.
Keeping up the enchantments is a pain I'll admit but because of the long casting times you can usually keep pumping the spells out.
Watching warriors walk is hilarious xD

It's not bad, but it really isn't good either.
What happens when you come up on a W/A? My guess is they shadow step to you (your snare is now useless) then proceed to take their hammer and KD you until your dead. Same with assassins, shadow step - cripple - spike = you die.
An ele in AB should be there to cap shrines, not really anything else. Thats how you win AB's, not snaring a few people here and there.
I use an ele in AB as well. I prefer a fire build (go figure) for capping shrines. I take a speed buff and a burning skill with steam for dealing with Warriors & Assassins. Blind against melee's is very nice.
I'm there to cap shrines, not take on W & A one on one. I will say that AB is about having fun. So if snares and stuff is what you like then who am I to disagree. Also water attun should take care of your energy needs along with glowing ice, with that said I would find another elite, maybe [water trident] nice KD, or [shatterstone] decent damage.

there are two things that you must do to that build:
1) replace superior water with minor water
2) add blurred vision in there somewhere
as of right now, that build is strictly inferior to a cripshot/melshot ranger in almost every category. they can out-cap you, they can out-snare you, they can easily out-fight and out-run you, and they have the almighty dshot. with blurred vision, you'll do something that they can't do: complete melee shutdown.

I'd prefer [[elemental attunement] for lighting builds, spam [[lightning orb] and [[lightning hammer], quick recharge, but your skills all have long recharges.

I don't see why you need that much energy management.

Cherng beat me to it ~ you really dont need that much energy management - for many reasons, but most of all because you aren't going to me spamming those skills enough to warrant it.
Also, Water Eles without [Blurred Vision] make me sad.
You could drop [Glowing Ice] and [Elemental Attunement] for [Glyph of lesser energy] ~ Freeing up your Elite, and leaving room for BV ~

You mean Icy Shackles?
Anyway, I would bring [Shatterstone] instead of elemental attunement since you already got energy covered, you might as well add a lil damage.
For something like:
[Shatterstone][Freezing Gust][Ice Spikes][Deep Freeze][Glowing Ice][Armor of Mist][Aura of Restoration][Water Attunement]

[glyph of immolation][steam] are quite common on water builds, just sub in 8 fire magic for some energy storage. I find this quite annoying as a melee, although it isn't as bad as being camped by a bsurge. both burning and blind are quite deadly (burning = 14hp per second)

The problems with the build have already been pointed out.
However there is another thing here that just screams pvp noob to me, the gear.
First of all +3 is NOT good, more dmg is nice, but u cant do dmg if ur dead, replace with +1
Secondly you should not need 100 energy, you should be able to function like every other caster, within 40 energy or so. Drop radiants for survivors 40 hp > 8 energy.
The staff, drop the +5e part, its vastly inferior to the 20%HCT, for an ele I would recommend a 40/20/+30 staff, that is Adept Staffhead, Apt not Att insc and a Wrap of +30hp. I would not have an enchanting mod on this, if u want to have one, have a separate enchating set, again it wont help if ur dead.
As it stands this setup will have like 450 something hp which is terrible. So basically when it comes to PvP, remember HP > everything else, you cant do ANYTHING if ur dead. With these changes ull be up 145 ish hp, also make sure u have a Sup Vig in there.
PS i would also put a +1 ES rune in there too and a -20 cripple/bleed rune.
