Default Opinions for a Prage bar.

So, I've been messing around with some warrior bars for RA lately. I want Guru's opinion on this bar.

[Dismember][Body Blow][Agonizing Chop]??[Bull's Strike][Primal Rage][Rush][Resurrection Signet]

So, the "??" can be one of two things.
I was considering :
[Expunge Enchantments] for deep enchant removal, or...
[Rip Enchantment] for more flexibility, but less removal (and bleeding to occasionally cover DW)

i prefer [Disrupting Chop] over [Agonizing Chop]. [Shock] is preferred but you could take [Rip Enchantment] or [Rending Touch].

im going for agonizing over dchop because its a 4man team and im looking for that extra damage.
as for shock, ive played shock axe for a while and im looking for a bit of a change.

so its down to rip and rending... ill try them out later.
and the main reason im trying this is because i play on a shitty comp and have trouble interrupting, and its easier to simply rip the guardian.

[build prof=w/e axe=12+1+1 str=12+1 air=3][dismember][body blow][disrupting chop][bull's strike][optional][primal rage][rush][res sig][/build]
- [[Shock] for knockdown.
- [[Rip Enchantment] for enchantment removal.
- [[Rending Touch] for enchantment removal.
- [[Power Spike] for a ranged interrupt.
- [[Disrupting Dagger] for a half ranged hard interrupt.
- A Conjure with 10 points in the required element for bigger damage with [[Executioner's Strike] instead of [[Body Blow]. Run 8+1 strength.
- [[Antidote Signet] or [[Mending Touch] to combat blind (and conditions generally).
- [[Shield Bash] for more defense.

shock is vastly superior to all other options, not only is likely the best choice for a pure 8v8 fight.
But it gains value with lower number of players, and is really a key skill for generating kills in a skirmish/split situation, which include RA for the most part.

If you feel you need enchant removal to deal with guardian then you already lost the war, just the time you stand still and let the monk kite away is enough time for him to get far and recast guardian before you can close in again.
Also I would argue that in that case you are just unlucky with the team makeups.
Target swapping has a lower cost associated with it on a prage bar compared to other warrior bars, so there is even less of an issue with skills like guardian.

it has nothing to do with being sneaky, you just wail on something preferably soft until the monk blows gaurdian, then you primal rage on over there and dchop him when he tries to use it again.

what does more damage a +19 attack or their monk not being able to prot people?

ping largely doesnt matter when you use dchop since it takes so long to cast, all you have to do is predict his casts and memorize the timing for things like interupting off of KD or res

Flail instead of rush... saw it being used thought it was a good idea.

I've tried [weaken armor] with [body blow], but ended up just wanting [shock]

Really it's called shock axe for a reason. One KD on a warrior bar = fail.

That said, [mending touch][plague touch][antidote signet][healing signet][lion's comfort] are all fail options that you could try if you want.
Mending touch is actually quite practical for your free slot on a hammer bar but when we have a usable monk I usually run death's charge.

Maybe try [death's charge] for a teleport and small self heal? The +92 from it actually helped me win a 1v1 vs a guy who charged backbreaker in 2 hits.

Flail instead of rush is a terrible idea, unless you have a free slot to bring [flail][rush] and [Primal Rage]. A lot of people run really bad PR bars these days, especially since it's coming back a bit now that people have realized it's still perfectly usable post-nerf. Usually when something is meta, lots of people in low end pvp will run fail versions, like WE builds with counterattack and executioner's strike, or [devastating hammer] bars with [tiger stance].

If you want to play something different, try this:
[primal rage][rush][bull's strike][sever artery][gash][sun and moon slash][shock][resurrection signet]
In places without res signet, (AB) you can put in [savage slash] which is a grade A attack that would be overpowered except for its recharge time. alternatively:
[primal rage][rush][bull's strike][savage slash][sever artery][gash][sun and moon slash][resurrection signet]
+ points for being different / badass and running sword, - points for doing a bit less damage to kiters.
+ points for an on-demand interrupt that can hit for 90 against WoH if you're fast.

Additionally, sometimes I run [axe twist] over [body blow] on primal rage axe because weakness is powerful and I've gotten used to inflicting it with hammer.

Wouldn't run primal in RA, too much damage hits wars, whether hammer linebacking, hex spam, or even randoms spamming their bar on the first person they see run in.

this... dchop is useless as an on-demand interrupt, so you have to know when to use it and time before a spell cast, rather than using it on reflex because if you use it on reflex you'll barely even be able to get 2sec casts. it can be quite devastating however, if you time it and get something important ie [word of healing][guardian]

[Agonizing chop] has the same problem, and is a reason why I like [savage slash] so much. [Agonizing chop] is nice as a spike finisher, I like it on eviscerate builds but both axe interrupts suck except for their low cost/ fast recharge / spammability. Savage slash also works like protector's for spike finishing, if you just need to fit in 1 more attack to get a kill etc.

Also learn to 1/4sec dchop: Bull's strike, attack twice, stop briefly, dchop as target gets up. The stop time is significantly shorter than for a hammer quarter knock.

I like to bring both axe interrupts on my PR builds but have a bad habit of spamming them rather than timing carefully.

Side note: [sun and moon slash] does exactly the same damage as [body blow]. Both crit for 102 on my respective sword / axe builds. Sun and moon's unblockability is worth about as much as 1 strike of adrenaline...
