(also D-shot on crushing is pretty good as well).

If you are not using magebane it's autowin allready for any decent Shovespike.

The more you use Patient spirit, the more you are gonna regret it when ur energy runs low.
I only use patient spirit when im:
1. Fighting against NAAABS
2. About to get spiked/epic pressured
3. When high/elemental damage is split between you and another teammate
4. Ur guardian is Dshot and you are about to get hammered.
5. Need to keep healths high vs. spikes
6. Secondary pre-prot

Without WE a warrior has only 2 pips of energy regen. If the warrior has to expend 35 energy to kill someone, you have plenty of time to rez and wipe the rest of their team.
Dshotting grapple/shove on a teleport isn't always possible, but not catching the followup crushing is inexcusable.

You have plenty of time in any case - the spike cools down only once in 30 seconds, plenty of time to kill someone. It's just that you have to catch them first, and if you can't catch them then regardless of how much energy the Warrior has to use per spike, you lose.

The only reason i said guardian someone vs. a shovespike is cuz it has a 50% chance of keeping out crushing blow's DW. Should guardian others, because with ur positioning you SHOULD know if theyre gonna spike you or not.

Oh, lol.
To whoever has more dmg applied on em.
1 rao ranger counts as 1
pet counts as .5
if theres a rao ranger on ur necro, +1
if theres a rao ranger and 2 pets on you, +2
guardian goes on u
Dont guardian yourself if theres one or two dlunge pets and no RaO ranger on u, thats like Guardianing ur self when theres a magebane on you. Thats wasting 5e to keep off a 2e skill from the enemy landing on you 50%. Just kite, meanwhile they should have dlunge on their pet attack queue, stop and let the pets hit you, putting it out of pet attacking queue, and cast on 40/40. Safest way possible.
Btw, if you get ur WoH dchopped / dlunged and both rangers are attacking you, its not completely over... as long as ur guardian isnt dchopped. If both are dchopped/dlunged and are far from recharging, switch to low set and wait for a rez.

This is a sound piece of advice. I see so many monks getting this wrong.
A lot of monks will swap up to their high set and spam away in order to delay an inevitable death. This will usually lead to easy interrupts and death in a high set, which is usually gg. Unless all sigs have been burned then you're usually better off eating dirt in a low set and waiting for a sig.

Yep i get raged at that alot...
We're winning I die in high-set and we lose, it's so stupid I have no idea why i do it at least once a night >.<
Though its more often i try and weaponswap to get a fastcast and lag when trying to swap back ( run 280-400 ping usually)

The monk bar is pretty bad. No vigorous. You might aswell run zbprot then for better efficiency. Cure hex and veil are bad too unless you have a purge or some off monk hex removal.
|
Then post the better build. Oh and um, all the arguments regarding vig and hex removals have been discussed in the previous posts and um... no, just no.
Quote:
When i play a hex charachter i always watch what hex removal the opposing team has.
I put faint and defile on your ranger and watch your reaction. I see only a cure hex, all i need to do is reapply defile.
|
Did a monk just cure hex ur defile? Tell him to uninstall

I think the guide is pretty good though. Newer players looking for ta/monk advice should read the op's main post. Quite a bit of useful monking tricks there.
|
Not sure if they can even read it O.o

If your still asking questions such as: what do you do vs rao or what to do vs backbreaker sins look at the tools at your disposal.
Skills such as bonetti make u invulnerable vs rao while shield bash or really any blocking stance will stop backbreaker spikes.

WTB Pro melee... oh theres plenty :P

In view of the nerf to WoH, would you suggest spamming Patient Spirit or waiting for health bars to drop below 50% before healing?
