i dont know if they needed to nerf smiters but the nerf to warriors endurance was good, i liked the changes to woh and pnh
i think aegis should be 5 energy and 25 second recharge, that way it could be used against pure spike builds
it looks like people are probably going to have to run more hex removal or more shutdown to counter the VoR / LC builds

This update really ticked me off when they decided to do more to nerf hunter's shot aside from what the description on the wiki page said. 10sec recharge? WTF!??? also removed the 1sec cast which made this ideal for turret builds so now I'm checking around for good alts to replace it. Too bad cause I'm good with builds using 1sec shots on hornbow with marksmans wager, so sundering, penetrating + now what do I use? powershot takes too long/costs more and needling shot is so weak it's pathetic.
Heck I can't even recommend using hunter's over screaming now.

actually, the only real address to any problems were the nerfs to WE and MoI. the rest barely did anything and they completely destroyed aegis.
2 out of the at least 12-15 known is not what I would consider a good update.

It wasn't perfect, but a band-aid fix is better than nothing for the time being at least. And I never said it was a good update, I said it's been one of the best recently, which is pretty sad.

I can see the new flagstand runner build designed by Trinity and Leena Longshot...
two man God Mode flag runner

1. Dervish with Extend Enchantments (+100% enchants)
2. Monk with Glyph of Renewal, Blessed Aura and 20% Enchant mod

My first looks on the update:
Heart of Shadow / Viper's Defense - no point. The range isn't far enough. If it shadowstepped to the furthest possible distance then it might be usable, although to compensate then perhaps you can only do it on a hostile foe.
Shadow Fang - good change.
Mirror of Ice - so be it, I don't mind.
Steam - so be it, it's a nerf to Water Magic in general but I'll work around it ...
Illusionary Weaponry - great change.
Castigation Signet - so be it, I'll work around it.
Word of Healing - good change. Before the change you could heal more with WoH under all circumstances compared to Patient Spirit, now you can't. Still it's extremely dangerous. I wonder if Monks'll have enough redbar to work around modern offense, or something will break; we might see more Glimmer or Healer's Boon next.
Peace and Harmony - good change. Might not be enough of a nerf though. I'm hoping that it'll drop out of play now so that you can run hexes in a non-hex overload build ...
Foul Feast / Lingering Curse - good change. Foul Feast might not be nerfed enough though, we'll see.
Hunter's Shot / Melandru's Shot - good change.
Keen Arrow - this might be an unfair nerf to A/R Critical Barragers, we'll see.
Protective Was Kaolai - good change.
Aegis - interesting change. I personally think it's destroyed, but some other people think it's superoverpowered now. We'll see.
Strength of Honor - bad change. What're Assassins in HB going to do now?
Warrior's Endurance - bad change. Now it's gone again, just like Primal except even more so
The PvE changes are a bit, eh. Now PvE'ers get even more fun stuff to play with! The PvE powercreep is going on unchecked ... only thing worth mentioning though is the Strength of Honor change. Something more for the ER Elementalist to soak up? Maybe. We'll see.
Otherwise I think it's too early to see how the game will change, contrary to all the doomsayers, so ... let's just see how it goes.

I think the update is ok, it's atleast going in the right direction although some nerfs might be too little or too much. I'm also happy that there were no random buffs (wells anyone?) which would just introduce new problems. If skill balancing was handled like this for a few months we might just end up with a decent meta.

I'm kinda sad the life steal changes didn't go through
Other than that I dont think LC/FF and PnH have been hit hard enough and I would have preferred Aegis to be just toned down a little bit instead of being redesigned completely, plenty of other skills they could have used for this (shield guardian comes to mind) though it will be interesting to see what the effect of no aegis will be on the meta game I'm a little worried that everyone will just run some 5 physical wipe build.

Bsurge might be able to handle lots of physicals with FF on 5 recharge, not sure though.
