I count 4 :P

Maybe because of the increased faction per kill? *sigh*

I've noticed since the FFF change awhile back that the quality of Kurzick players has been steadily going down. Not that it was high to begin with (hey, it's AB) but I had built up a pretty decent friends list to pug with and practically no familiar faces are in AB now. Dunno why that is, just seems like whenever I go in it's impossible to put together any sort of non-shit pug and the other groups are worse than ever.

More people were Kurz in the first place anyway - there's probably a bigger influx of bad players since the FFF change.

per-game variance in skill level >> change in skill level over time
It never was the pinnacle of GW PvP, and it still is hilarious just because

i go with a great team of guildies we own all game, kill everything on our way to shrines and basically go round the map capping the whole game and we still manage to lose...
i'd say the kurzicks at least are getting worse

Kurzicks blow, hands down. I don't know why, it's probably easier to roll into the kurzick side of the game when you do the PvE story. I recently switched luxon and the number of wins has doubled. This partially has something to do with some new friends I made that are very good at ab's, and partially with the better overall team quality.

Yeah, reading all these opinions, I feel that not much has changed. I was just wondering where does all these JQers and Ft.Aspenwood ppl come from.
I used to believe that AB cannot spiral downwards because that would mean that there is a PvP lower than AB.
Then I met JQ....

I used to FA a lot, then they reduced the faction, so I went to AB. It was fun, I noticed the factions were pretty even, depending on time of day. Then they changed the JQ and FA faction, so I started doing that again...bad idea
The level of intelligence is AB is far superior to that of FA/JQ. Maybe I'm jaded because of CM, but I feel like AB has improved.
How does the increased faction make a difference if your team gets 3 slabs of jade or breaks 2 gates? No thank you, I'll go back to AB now.

The hilarious part isn't "I see that all the time".
The hilarious part isn't "I've been in that team!"
The hilarious part is, "I've been in that team, and we won".

To sum up: The quality of AB players on my team is good when I win and is bad when I loose. Of course I am always good and I lost because of other bad players :P, always!
I still enjoy GW with no monhtly fees. I am glad to see Ab is still very accessable for all players including casuals (veterans and newbies) at any time to have some fun.

LOL yeah, they probably run it because people are too silly to run out of AoE :P
When you have a solid snare on your team RoJ isn't half bad though, provided a mesmer runs it :P.

My experience is that AB noobs like the pretty light and will follow the Mo into the ion cannon and bathe in its glory.

I honestly think AB has improved. Sure there are games where you are part of the game that has a high percentage of tards but honestly? Since the patch I have noticed a lot more true PvP builds coming to AB. For example before the patch a stance monk was all but unheard of, now every second monk has stances. That being said this is not bad, its nice to have healers that don't die in 3 seconds flat.
Another thing I have noticed is that people are forming more balanced groups, it is not uncommon nowadays to have all 6 teams with a monk and a nuker.
One thing I have seen is a lack of creativity in certain classes, in particular, warriors and sins. Warriors are usually Primal Rage/DP/Hundred Blades and sins are usually Palm Strike. The problem is people are lazy and can't be bothered creating a build that works well for them, so they pick one off wiki that everyone else is running and fail with it, and don't even bother to mod it to their liking. I find that often the best people you meet in AB have their own builds using some obscure elite you've never seen before, Aura of Faith monks, Consume Soul rits, I even seen a Quickshot ranger who steamrolled people.
So overall I think it has improved, there will always be isolated cases, and there are always morons in every part of the game, AB is no exception, I do not find it hard to make a decent PuG however if YOU do then I suggest joining an AB guild or grouping with friends. This is what I do and suddenly the game is just so much more fun
