Tiebreaker system is generally better than VoD, but that doesn't make it a good system. I really wish there something else was in place.

This makes no sense.
How do I, for instance, get 9th in an AT for going 4-1-1 while 4th-9th place are all 4-2 and they place better than me?
Fix it and change the system back to its original state because now it makes no sense. You penalized the two guilds that abused it and you don't need to penalize everyone else just because a few use it to make top 16.
A tie is better than a loss, the current system is bullshit.

So you're mad because you can't Intentionally Draw yourself to a higher rank anymore and expect anyone to care?

More like he's mad that other people abused the system so now when he unintentionally ties, he's worse off than having a loss.
Logically it would be win > tie > loss, but it can't be that way without people abusing it, so it was changed. They aren't going to change it back because of this.

Easiest fix was to simply make ties count as a loss for both participants since that at least forces aggression.
If I remember correctly, that was even the case way back in gvg, but that was ladderfest times, so offensiveness was the superior choice anyways.

Within an AT though with points and tiebreakers, if two said decent guilds or HB players decide to intentional draw, but both take a loss and they both come out with decent points later on more than a given a tie.
The problem is when it isn't intentional happened last MAT for us. Although these draws happened more often because of a lord death that wasn't triggered in time which got fixed this month.

Draws do happen unintentionally like Echo said. Last MAT we had x999999 more lord damage than the opposing team, but they killed the lord at like 28:02-3 and it caused a draw. Thankfully they fixed it by making the lord an npc @ 28:00.
The only thing that would be understandable is the circumstance of the tie determining the outcome. 2 teams who fail to damage either lord should be punished for playing so poorly. Every other circumstance should be rewarded more than a loss.
Then again... Players will probably make it so they both kill the lord at the same time giving them both the benefit...

No I actually am not, lol. I am mad because when I tie someone it completely RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOs my chances of getting a high place and getting more RP's.
I like that intentional ties are gone but I don't like how actual ties get penalized.
You can understand, I mean you won how many silver capes?

What I don't get is why you would want to bring the old system back where ties did reward both players with 1 match point. People were exploiting this in every single HB AT or MaT, constantly preventing other players that actually played their battles from reaching the top 8 or top 16 respectively. Sure, the current system isn't ideal, but people actually play most of their battles now.

Yeah, I've had several draws in games happen unintentionally as well, I know they can happen and how tournament play RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOs it up.
But really, making a decent system to handle really should not be that difficult.

It means you had to play W/A shitspike in order to obtain your gold.
SHOOOOOOOP DA WHOOOOOOOOOP....
Sorry, I couldn't let this opportunity slip.
AT OP:
As said before, the previous system got abused EVERY tourny, even in monthlies. Draws now are more of a rare occasion. It happens, but far lesser than the ties did.
We'll just have to settle with the lesser of 2 evils.

I don't get how you can tie enough times to make it a big deal and post a thread on guru. Maybe you should revise your tactics and do more damage or something. :P

We would gladly have played 'eurobalanced' every match if other guilds played honorable builds too, sadly this is guild wars, that being said even with 'W/A shitspike' you'd be hard-pressed to get a poop trim.

Stupid argument saying the only way people can win golds is by lame builds, at the end of the day they won the mat, how would you know they wouldn't have won if they played something else?.
