Random Arena Bots?
Usually when I play a short game of GW, I play the Random Arena. I'm glad rank 4 at the moment because of these short games.
I usually play in the English Europe District, but moved to International district a short while ago and since I've played there, I encountered a few (obvious) bots playing an Elementalist with Searing Flames.
Is this a new thing or is International always had problems with bots?
Bot list:
Rufai Strife
Frozen Fame
Ainena Sivols Venir
Xarrupa Kevessa

Can't say about International specifically, but I'm pretty sure that RA has had troubles with bots for a while now.

I have seen the same in JQ ... mainly on the Luxon team.
Looks almost exactly like the ones from RA.
Same cast pattern, although the Element changes, usually with Aura of Restoration, Glyph of Lesser, Attunement and three spike skill.

There've been a couple monk bots running around ID too. Better than some players.

maybe there are bots and everyone isnt so terrible afterall
or maybe not, i've never encountered anyone that convinced me he was a bot, most fire eles play simple enough to be bots: you walk up and click fire spells on recharge

The bots that are obvious, V space when not around enemies and C space when they are around enemies. And they keep hitting caster weapon.

I had reported some but no action is taken. A permanent account ban would be nice.

I've seen an increase of SF bots. We've had whole parties report bots all the time, but I still see Rufai Strife.
Today, bumped into a new SF bot, Xarrupa Kevessa.
There's also another I've seen around, can't remember the name though, with 3 words.
There's also Frozen Fame, the Wounding Strike derv.
The monk bots seem to have disappeared, they were pretty crappy anyway.

The fact remains that:
Ya'll (non-botters) play hard
*while*
Botters hardly play!
Is this justice?
What's the EULA good for except wasted memory on their website?
WHEN WILL THESE BOTTERS BE OBSERVED AND PUNISHED?!?!
SUPPORT YOUR COMMUNITY FFS GMs!
Rufai Strife
Frozen Fame
Ainena Sivols Venir
Top three (3) botters in RA right there! Observe, confirm their illegal act and BANHAMMER THEIR ASSES for CHEATING!

Beyond random arenas being serious business, aren't you supposed to avoid posting IGNs in this type of situation? I can understand the frustration but any "investigations" done by Anet are probably very lengthy unless there is hard evidence (most likely) due to limited manpower.

The worst part about these bots is that average team doesn't believe they are bots (yeah, seriously). Even after I demonstrate how it follows closest ally and then c space cast SF when enemy is close enough. No one wants to report them for botting or leeching (fun is when whole team reports the bot every match over the course of long streaks).
Oh well, no one gives a crap about RA anyway.

A 99.9% surefire way to prove that botters bot is to take video recordings of them spamming their skills for about 5-7 seconds, auto-following you for the first 30 seconds, then rushing in to spam SF, attacks, etc. (without any tactic whatsoever), standing in AoE's or getting pommelled, and so on..!
Pictures alone don't prove sh*t, so if you encounter a botter, open up your game-recording programs (i.e.: Fraps) and be ready to record on demand so that you can capture them on vid and submit it to guru, PlayNC.com, etc..
If the GMs do nothing even after all that, then I won't be getting GW2 when it hits the store because I don't want similarly unreliable GMs/Devs to be running the game I may've payed for (don't matter if a game's free or not... I'd rather pay monthly for a game to be updated/balanced 'correctly').
Just my two cents.

I reported several bots to NCSoft, the last one being an Elementalist who wanders off for half a minute with two enemies left to kill. They didn't get banned. I asked what evidence is required to convict them, and this is the reply:
Quote:
Hello,
The information is in the game logs. We pull them to determine if a reported case of botting can be confirmed. Screenshots unfortunately, due to their static nature, do not contain the needed information to investigate a claim of botting.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

I'm a bit doubtful if even getting a video helps. It's so sad, especially since one of these bots recently went from R3 to R4 Glad and there's nothing I can do about it, despite beating her every time I play against her, asking everyone to /report her and leaving whenever she's on my team.

Screenies prove botters bot about 0% of the time. Videos are about 99.99999% accurate! Record & submit videos of them (if you're savvy with computers and recording in-game stuff). Fraps, I hear, is a good program to use. Google it.
