I am a decent monk in TA and RA (I started with ele and war, but for necessity - no one in my guild wants to monk - I converted to healer). I need some advice for the use of veil, because I feel much more effective when bringing cure hex or a direct hex remover. Another question about your suggestion of closing party window and cure looking at the field. At the moment I try to keep under control the field also, not only the red bars. For example to cast guardian on casters when they are under melee pressure. Yet most of the time my eyes are at red bars. What I want to ask is how can you understand when you party mates are under the effect of an hex or a condition, if you can not look at the bars.
Thank you for the advice.

P.S. I wrote in this thread, even if I am asking about RA and TA, because the questions were linked to the discussion above.

I usually do sth like the following...

Preprot yourself and the warrior/ranger before the match starts.

If it's not a hex team you can prob remove from the warrior immediately. If there are no hexers at all you can remove from yourself as well.

If it's a hex team you can probably prot whatever's left as well before the first hex lands. This'll give you a little bit of a head start, but obviously you're not going to be keeping up veil on 4 people, so you'll have to prioritize depending on what you meet. If its anti-melee you try to keep melee clean of the worst ones (cure on top of veil, remove veil when you have to). Remove veil from the less critical people on the first (annoying) hex received, then just try to keep it up...

Try to get your teammates to call what hexes land on them so you can prioritize properly - with only two hex removals you're not likely to keep your entire team clean, but you should be able to keep off the worst ones. If they aren't, try to watch the necro/mesmer and watch when the bad stuff hits (if you have time). Memorizing recharge times and preveiling before the bad stuff hits would be ideal
