kiting in wards
So I was in HA with my guildies, and I put up a ward against foes, then preceded to get trained by two wars. So I called for a make haste, then asked my self what would be the best way to make use of the ward i just put up. I decided that i would run though the ward like one would draw those stars where you don't pick up your pencil. But looking back i don't know if this was the best move, so i ask you guys how do you kite through a ward?

It's a ward against foes, put them on one side you on the other.
Assuming it's a star, from Point B-C, assuming you both started at A, they would bullstrike you halfway to C.

Just make sure you never turn towards a good warrior just to stay in the ward, drawing a star pattern will do just that and give him plenty of time to cut you off when you make those sharp turns because he only has to change his path slightly.
Circular paths are your friend, when he tries to cut you off, loop back the other way and make him change course and have more ward to wade through.

no crazy star pattern needed. you can suck them in the middle and then kite around the edge. if everyone on your team can do this when they see wars coming down on them, you can negate lots of damage

Why is this a question?
You position yourself the furthest away from the enemy melee offense in and around the ward as long as it forces them into it.
Why you would ever want a set pattern to go after I can't fathom.

I've always thought it best to kite in a Fibonacci spiral, but I might be wrong

Obviously ineffective, for the same reason a star would be. Your enemy is on the interior of a shape, and can simply cut across to bulls you.
Ideally, you maintain a slightly eccentric route with an interior position.

it was the right move if you took less damage and you didn't get bullsed.
if you did, then obviously it was ineffective.
personally when I kite through wards, I like to scrap the edge of the ward then turn 90 degress toward the inside and out the other side so the warrior will:
1) chase you through a large chunk of the ward
OR
2) immediately break off for another target.

^ Legitimately though, if you kite too far ahead of the warrior they will often switch targets. Whether you would rather have the warrior on you or on someone else is largely a question of situation.
