You are asking for builds and that is against the forum rules.

it depends. I've seen several so far. but it's very unreliable.
most go with
Dolyak Signet
Hundred Blades / Defy Pain
Enraging Charge
Sun and Moon Slash
Barbarious Slash
Gash
Barbs/Fire Attunement etc.
Mark of Pain / Lion's Comfort
just the basic idea however, also plenty of Axe versions around.

Enchantments aren't gonna be a good thing to rely on when it comes to the mesmer shrine, also you want to watch casting spells around them since they use overload. I find that mesmers usually have a hard time taking out physicals without any enchantments, whether they have great defense or not. I would look at Doylak Signet, great +armor and antiknockdown for ele shrine, stances with + armor and evasion, and maybe 1 or 2 enchantments only that would help vs the elementalists and warrior/rangers. Armor of earth could be a good way to go. With armor of earth you could also use sliver armor for more damage and defense. One hundred blades + flail and sun and moon slash would be a great combo, or a triple chop + cyclone axe build, or even aoe hammer skills (crude swing and yeti smash). gl

Really?
I figured sense there were about 500 posts about build discussion that it wouldnt be a violation.
is it because I ASKED for help making a build? Or are we not allowed to discuss builds here at all? I mean GW is a build based game.

Basically you should have said "let's discuss warrior builds for solocapping shrines", instead of "I need a warrior build to solocap shrines".
Really what you should do, is, play shock axe or hammer, make the strongest pvp build possible, then invite a competent ele who will nuke any shrine in under 10 seconds. Then since you have the best pvp build possible you should be able to make it so your competent ele can cap with you / your group, also one glance at an ele's build will tell you if he's and good.
Don't group with noobs.

um I mean so that I can SOLO cap a shrine as a warrior.
Want to know if it can be done.
with the exception of ranger, or warrior shrines, I usually die pretty easily
Ive had success wtih a Defy Pain 20 armor against elemental, hexes expire 20% faster -5% damage type build.. but its slow going.
I wanted to "DISCUSS" an AOE spam build with survivablity, enough to take a 3 man ele shrine.

Use an elementalist. There is no reason to make a warrior bar that is inferior in every way to another warrior bar or a fire ele.

yes because that is what I asked. I asked if warrior was the best class for destroying shrines
you know, some of us don't play this game to be cookie cutters. I enjoy trying new things, even if they arent as effective.

Basically an ele will do it SO much better, there's not point in capping with a warrior. You're there for the pvp part of it - escorting your cappers and preventing the enemy from getting your shrines.

Stay away from the Ele Shrine as a Warrior. 3 years in AB has taught me that designing a build to solo cap that single shrine is a waste of time. Airspike says "ownzj00".
Take into consideration that it is going to take you so long to clear the shrine and cap it solo that you are essentially wasting time. 1 pip to cap a Shrine is molasses-slow, during which time you can almost always count on having an enemy team steamroll you to keep possession.

no one should ever solo cap, ever even an ele, chances are by the time its done a) a friendly team shows up making what u just did a waste of time or b) an enemy team shows up and kicks ur ass.
Also wars shouldn't be capping period. Its not a matter of being a cookie cutter, theres a difference between being a snowflake and just being crap. In this case, war capping = crap

I end up solocapping on my warrior, actually, though I can't cap all of the shrines. The daring solocap of a rez shrine in between enemy mobs is one of my signature moves, though often people will show up and try to get me.

Don't get me wrong, I can solo cap shrines on my Warrior, but unless the team I am on is up by a decent amount, it's not what I should be doing. Sure, I can go 1-pip the Mez shrine, and the other 3 in my Party can 3-pip another Shrine, but I'll get rolled if I'm solo and an 4-man comes my way, and the other 3 in my Party are going to have it tough vs. a 4-man unless they've got NPC's up. Not the odds I want to play when the match is close.

I won't. I'm damn hard to catch.
But it is annoying if a large force comes and I have to make an exit with only a little bit left on the rez shrine.
The worst thing, of course, is when a random stance monk comes and just sits on the shrine next to me so I can't ever get it.

yea if you want to solo shrines, defy pain is the way to go.
however, really you should always recruit a nuker and just protect them so they can wipe the shrines for you.

Yesterday on sin I ran through a giant mob all spread out, there were blue dots spaced out covering the whole compass. I was tabbing thru and scanning to try to avoid getting within range of any Melandru's shot rangers -- fortunately nobody aggroed me (I was careful not to get within melee range), and I was moving FAST (battlecry + dash). The only person who bothered to attack me was a very foolish fire ele, whom I blew up in just under 5 seconds before keeping going at full speed, though Raine Nito tried to follow me and didn't make it (WTB sprint).
