one of the problems i see with beginner monks is that they'll either tend to overheal and burn all their energy, or underheal and let targets unnecessarily die too fast. so you have to guage how to spend your energy wisely, getting the most out of your spells.
but my #1 piece of advice that i always tell people is before the battle, tab through your enemy targets. knowing your enemy makes it hell of a lot easier to defend against it. a lot of beginner monks will just keep their teamates or themselves selected at the start of the battle and sit in the backline waiting for redbars to go down. keep your eyes open and always try to stay one step ahead of the enemy team.
regarding pve monking: easiest job in the world imo. its about pre-protting before the battle begins and redbaring during the battle...assuming u'll even need to do either of those because damage mitigation/reduction on the frontline/midline is so ridiculously overpowered (yes im talkin about balanced teams).

nope, the bar that takes the highest multitasking ability is definitely a wail of doom necro with ff and ps.

Try not using PvE-only skills or consumables and do HM DoA or something like that with a balanced team. Kids these days have it too easy and take it for granted.

Which instantly makes pyth the best player in gw because of his excellent micro in the most micro-intensive bar to micro the wail of doom with good micro on the ff and ps.

Sorry but playing a necro in TA is far from the most micro-intensive/multi-tasking role in the game. I hope you're joking.

utility midline in general is pretty intensive in terms of multitasking, spike assists, condi/hex/both removal, melee shutdown, caster shudown, pressure assist, not to mention usually being the class which gets bombed by melee pressure a lot.
on a seperate note; theres a lot of good advice, but dont expect yourself to get good overnight. slow and steady is the best approach

I would suggest practising in the Zaichen Elite as you are fighting agianst npcs. You can get better at keeping an npc party alive as well as yourself.
