Who to watch?
Id like to know who to watch, so i can see examples of what i should be doing during gvgs. Are these people a good example of what a player should be trying to accomplish?
Warrior - Ego Ftw/Fighter Nihil [KMD], Mr Kisses/TK noodle [yumy], Bankai Team Captain [vR], Wolfy/V for Valkier [uP]
Ranger - I think the Champ is Here [uP], and I Zed I [KMD], but I would like to know a few others.
Eles - Dont know exactly what to look for, so would like to know more.
Mesmer - Spanktank [Cry], The Mitch is Back [KMD], dont see that many mesmers now.
Monks - Squeav/Reflected [yumy], Anata Flora/The Anesthestist [GeAr], Flaming/Pysgnosis [KMD], Fairwell Elojah [AA]
Flaggers - Once again, dont know what to exactly look for.
Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

Eles today primarily play mindless mind blast ele builds, that require little skill besides tactical maneuvers and moving around the map, so none of them really stand out.
As far as the rest of them, I'd say they're all decent role models.

Watch them all, spec a lot and eventually you'll learn who's better than who.
Lead warriors on winning top 10 teams are good, but watch everyone.
Jatt, Bankai, Ego, I haven't seen Chop Chop gvg for a while but when he did they owned yumy quite badly.
What class do you play?

You'll learn more by understanding tactical maneuvers and movement than you ever will by obsing how a warrior quarterknocks or shocks a monk properly.
Learn where to go first, then worry about how to play.

Someone is a little angry over being kicked as a capeleecher
Not really sure why Kisses, Bankai, Valk, Yumy and GeAr's backlines, Psy and Fairwell made the list either.

Just watch good teams, not good players. A good player playing on a bad team won't help you get better at any position. Likewise, most good teams have good players at many positions.
Lists like these are notoriously awful and exist only to stroke epeens. Euros will say that most Americans are terrible at Guild Wars (see above -_-) and likewise with Americans.
So Jatt is pretty much correct.

I don't know about that; HA kids throwing it around is even more amusing.
OP: Find old videos from when the good players played. Watch QQ for their Warriors and midline, watch EW for their backline, watch iB for everyone.

Well Idk about that, don't remember much from Nick but Dephria in recent times has been sub par to say the least (and by recent times I mean when he was still active) I don't think I've seen anyone get PBlocked as often as Deph did except for maybe Kestrel when he played monk once.

The problem is all these vids (most of which are on youtube, I also had the GW versus ones) are low quality and it's quite tough to learn from them. The vid that Chop chop posted recently is exactly the opposite. Obs is imo infinitely better, although it seems most people say it's lower game quality.
I've watched many eles in mAT final games and it seems they have a very "standard" role, although I must admit I'm not sure if I could be that good.

I think Divine [yumy] is the best flagger to watch by far, whether it is for actual flag running, base defense, helping on split, etc.
Warriors I like: Noodle, Wolfy, Ego, Jatt, not necessarily in that order.
Midline: rawr's midline, (Asp, Hexen) is among the best.
Backline: I like to watch Awowa and R E F L E C T E D.
Yeah, I'm partial to Americans.
EDIT: Rangers are the toughest to evaluate. Some rangers are better splitting than others; some are better interrupting than others. Overall, Champ, Broken and Dhaina are pretty good.
EDIT2: Fixed rawr's midline which I still think is the best

In Mitches world everyone else is worse than KMD players (yet KMD has only won with 1 warrior spike builds).
I am not trying to sound pretentious, just pointing out that I find it curious how you can call players who consistently beat you for bad.
What is the score again? 11-0 maybe one day when they learn to play properly KMD will be a challenge...
Oh and before you reply, yes I am know I am not among the best players in GW, never claimed to be, I work harder on my game because I know I cannot achieve the mechanical skill of some of the best players. I play to my strength (movement and tactics instead of micro), and so far it seems to work
I never consider or adjust to opponents based on name and reputation, I never make a call like 'that monk is bad just spike him', 'that player sucks we can push in on the split'. I only call plays based on what my opponents actually do and how they react to those plays.
In my opinion when someone calls other people out on forums as bad it just shows me how they think about the game, I dare you to find a player from rawr calling someone bad (not meant in joke).
Anyone who can make it to the mAT, to top 100 on the ladder, to the single elims, is doing something right or has some way of winning games that you shouldn't take too lightly on in my opinion.
Considering players sub par and genreally thinking of yourself as good only leads to making mistakes by being overconfident.
We never go into a game expecting to win easy, we may cheer a bit when we see a particular build being used against us (hi KMD), but never will we say 'oh these guys lets win this quick'.
I may approach a ladder or daily AT game differently than a single elim mAt game, but I take it equally seriously whether my opponent is rank400 or top10.
'Learn where to go first, then worry about how to play.' <- This is much more important than anyone seems to give it credit for.
If more people understood this concept they would be much better players than they currently are.
When I observe a game I almost solely watch for movement, how people use their skills, who gets what interrupted etc. really does't interest me all that much.
Good guildwars is not about lucking out and winning a skirmish fight you should have lost, or getting a way in a situation where you should have gotten killed, that is lucky guildwars.
Good guildwars is making plays, and setting up situations and skirmishes that you *should* be winning, the actual winning of those situations is actually a secondary consideration.
If you are constantly getting yourself in a position where you should be able to score kills than that will eventually lead you to getting those kills even if you miss a couple of them.
I will try to see about recording some first person videos, but I am struggling with sound, does anyone have a way to record both my microphone and what I hear through my speakers at the same time?
