^ I rarely need that advantage, and so don't even think about bringing NPCs. How do you get them to follow you anyway?
The 6v4 thing on ancestral just means that they often cap before we win the fight, making it suddenly 9v4 which is considerably more difficult.
I make habit of bull's striking elite elementalists whenever I see them tagging behind teams, you can often gank them quickly and without drawing aggro from players.

Speaking of bugs, the Ritualist NPC in AB on Saltspray seems to be casting spirits in .75 sec. that's only supposed to happen in PvE! Anyone else noticed that? It was in the PvE only section of the latest skill update. Now they are too hard to int.

ANet confirms, AB not PvP, news at 11!
Seriously though, this should be filed in the bugs section (if it hasn't been already).

Lol I'm pretty sure you can use the advantage even though you don't think you need it. With two NPCs at your back for example you can easily go into an otherwise-equal 4v4 skirmish expecting to win and win quickly. That's what happens on Ancestral isn't it? The 6v4 thing on Ancestral happens, it's part of the natural advantage Kurzicks have on the map. You just got to avoid it at the start at best as you can (don't fight in the first place lest you want to teamwipe).
If you are the person with the elite NPCs, then you husband them, especially the (pre-nerf) ressed ones. A ressed elite Elementalist was an extremely valuable resource. If you ganked my elite Elementalist when I'm playing my typical capping build I'd fight you 2v1, even though all I've got for a fight is Immolate and Flame Djinn's Haste ...
PS: to get the NPCs to follow you, speak to them.

Man ANet, it's because you nerfed NPC ressing that my AB playtime has dropped so dramatically, until the only times I AB are when my friends ask, when it's double AB weekend and when the ZQ is AB ...
Please revert!

It's not about better players, its about getting 2 4-man teams on your end that are just terrible. It happens far more often than not.

Kurzicks are so bad at this, lawl. Last night I had a guild group with a recently ex-kurz monk, all we did was argue and fight then he got ganked twice because he wouldn't listen to my Luxon wisdom. Then afterward everyone left like it was a french 6am tab invite pug.
Interesting note: the meta is different on kurz side.
Glacialphoenix, you don't bring shroud of distress, do you? and say it's always worked for you?

Um, the last thing I said in this thread was how I could cope with no NPC rezzing? I liked that mechanic, though. I had fun bullying people with it.
What, precisely, does shroud of distress have to do with being able to rez an NPC? (Right, it's 1.30 am here, I'm not typing straight.)

Probably due to the fact that it's usually on our territory. I'd give a lot for Kaanai back again. My guild's AB motto during AB weekend was, ironically enough, "FOR KAANAI!"
I haven't played in quite a while, though. I'm sick of Grenz and even more sick of Ancestral, and I'm getting increasingly snippy at my allies.

Whoa, must have been really bad, to even compare it to the vaunted french 6am tab invite pug!
