Question about Hammer mods
I have both a Vamp Hammer and a Sundering Hammer, but I don't know which is better.
Your opinions?

mods always depends on the build you run, but in general I wouldn't recommend vamp for a hammer since it's a rather slow weapon... Unless you have a specific build were the vampiric mod will own, I would go with the sundering since its kinda effective all the way around

I use vamp on hammers, so do most good pvp players.
There was a long, long thread about this a few months ago and the consensus was basically that vampiric does more damage than sundering.
Sundering = for noobs.
Use vamp be leet kk ty.

Sucks that you're forced to only use one single weapon, huh?
Granted I'm an arena shitter so I'm probably completely wrong, but when I play hammer I'll use vampiric (or ebon against other wars) for my basic attacks and then switch to a sundering for the KD spike (Dev/Crushing/Bash).

Proper hammer weapon sets:
1. Vamp/15>50/+30 Hammer
2. Elemental/15>50/+30 Hammer
3. +5 Energy/+5 Armor Spear/+45/-2 stance shield
4. Bow for building
sundering is bad never run sundering on a warrior weapon

Switch to your furious +5e +30hp spear, obviously, because of course you already have one.
While actively fighting, -1 degen is negligible and in fact with an IAS +5hp every second will heal you slightly.
See hammer weapon sets (important).
I use +5e, +30hp, and +30hp unconditional with anticripple on shield, rather than the conditionals which are slightly better but only if you meet the condition. Usually when I get spiked I'm caught on my hammer so the armor doesn't matter, and the extra health is very useful for resisting degen because most of the more threatening damage I take ends up being degen or armor ignoring.
Reverend Dr: Is furious hammer any good? I like furious sword, actually, but is furious hammer worthwhile or do you joke?

Thanks for the answers guys, but I have one more question.
Why does PvXWiki say that you require an EBON weapon? Isn't Cold/Lightning/Fire damage the same against warriors?

Nobody else is answering so I'll try - all the other elements are something you'll see relatively often. You're not going to be surprised to see a Mind Blast ele, or a Mirror of Ice snarer, a Mind Shock or a Bsurge, or even the occasional Conjure Frost/Flame/Lightning. Non-healing ritualists use lightning damage quite often. Earth eles are relatively rare outside of HA (although I've seen more in arenas since the Ebon Hawk buff), and there is no earth conjure, so earth is the element you're most likely to catch an opponent without the proper shield.
That said, barring +armor shields, yes, all the elements are the same against warriors.

Use both, but saying sundering for spikes and vamp for pressure is stupid if you don't add more to it. If the other team kites half decently, it is more beneficial to use sundering more often, since sundering crits are fun, and there is no downside. If they are bad, or an NPC, then use vamp, since the life steal will heal through the degen and you can sit in flail with no penalty.
If you have rush (and triplestancing, you should always have enraging), my first point is pretty irrelevent, and you can use your vamp set more often, since you will be hitting more often.

with regard to the elemental set, id like to say, it really doesnt matter. some warriors run sentinels -> back to vamp. a lot of warriors (esp ones in RA) either dont have more than one shield, or just sit on their hammer and dont swap shields.
Monks too, if they have one, will probably be swapping to a blunt shield vs a warrior.
I swap between a furious, vamp and icy hammer whenever i see/think someone has swapped sets/lost armour or whatever.

In all seriousness, if you have one hammer you have a furious hammer. You will use enraging 20-30 times a match, that means 2-3 times a match you will have magehunter/dev hammer charged immediatley after using it.
Actually sitting in a furious hammer if you don't use bash it isn't that uncommon for your primary KD to have 4 strikes of adren charged by the time bash would have gone off. (Bash is wonderful, but if you always use bash as a second KD then you are terrible)
Think about it, enraging is used on every hammer build because of the increased adren gain. If you could get free adren just by weapon swapping, why wouldn't you?

Bull's striking moderators FTW.
That wasn't the thread I meant, though, there was another thread about weapon mods a few months ago which you might be able to find via search.
I'll try a furious hammer, usually I use a furious spear with Enraging charge.
It's also good to spike Dev --> Echarge --> Dev --> Bash --> Crushing.
There are lots of creative ways to chain attacks, like, you can chain a palm strike build six different ways or lead with gash on sword if your team has a Melandru's shot ranger.
