I never implied you were. I was simply stating my opinion on how I believe GeAr earned the gold cape they have, and they shouldn't let anyone tell them otherwise. I'm not stating that you are implying they don't deserve it either, I quite understand your feelings about the matter.
It would have been nice to see no controversy surrounding yet another mAT final, but stuff happens.

Pretty sure noone forfeits mid monthly unless there's a good reason like a disconnect, emergency leaving or the entire team playing extremely terrible and all agreeing to disbanding.
Its still quite funny.
I think anyone saying they earned a cape when they got it this way will be in the same situation as gear saying they truly earned theirs.

I'm upset, but only because I think it would have been a great match.

pretty much this. I think that DirT would have won, but I would have been routing for GeAr.

What's with all the people claiming gear should earn their gold? I'm sorry but the burning isle game would just be a fight between whoever gets more lord damage. It's a sad thing the final never happened because it would showcase the many flaws with guild wars at the moment.

I wanted to tell Linsey that she can take this trim back and shove it but others still want it. All though, getting trashed talked before a match and winning is funny, espically when its vPie's smurf and they want to scrim you after the match.

Because most good teams, after going 1-2 would simply give up since they have little to no chance of silver. No top guild cares enough about bronze to stay and beat you at that point, so they might as well call it a day.

Meh, you guys underestimate the idea of a finals match on burning. I'm pretty sure it would have been push and pull all game with a very close ending.

Aka., americans running around with 3-5 eles and euros chasing after aforementioned eles and pushing into lordsroom with a couple paragons.
Not exactly interesting to watch.

Well really depends on the tie breaker as 4-2 gets you top 16 except for like 3 guilds.
Also the match on burning I highly doubt would of been fun to watch and most probably of gone to 28.

Umm okay?
You say after going 1-2 a team will give up because they have little to no chance of getting silver but i said that most 4-2 teams get top 16.
Therefore inferring that if they win those last 3 games which is very possible that they have a decent shot at top 16 with 4 wins and 2 losses, depending on tiebreaker of course.
