4 enemy monks who refuse to resign yet deal no damage, and yet my team never has one.... or if we do, its a smiter.
Trapper on the team, with whirling defence, lightning reflexes, and some stupid run skill so after he realises that we arnt stupid to run into traps, he goes for a run for the remaining minutes.
im not sure if this counts, but we didnt have a monk but very good spike damage and we went on a spree of 10 and then beat 1 TA group, thought that was pretty fun.

Not Random Arenas, but yesterday I was playing in Jade Quarry and there was a warrior there who had put 11 in fire magic simply to use firestorm. The funny thing was that the rest of his build wasn't actually that bad.

Saw a monk with points in 7 different attributes. Smite, heal, divine, prot, earth air and water magics. Bar was something like RoJ, healing seed, divine intervention, firestorm, light javelin, bane sig, stone shards, and rebirth...probably was a joke but i saw that in RA

not always bad (see pic, all 4 of us were in the 4 matches. No smiters, i think the mo/e had flare or fireball or something though, i remember everything wanding a mesmer to death.)
Stupidest thing i ever saw though, probably when a rit with them ashes that when dropped deals damage, and a bunch of other quick cast skills tried to spike me. We were on the same team.

lol thats all well and good but if you go against people who arnt stupid and bring even a weak self healing skills, you'l get no where i suppose that win was worth the enemies embarresment in that case.

well, actualy, i had a very similiar case, we had 4 monks on a team(i was 1 of em and probably the worst one back in thos old days) , so the other team couldn't win, at the end all people just left , and we got wtfpwned by the next team, who had like 2 anti casters and a shock axe + monk.i know this might not be weird, but it's my +1 ^^
EDIT: sorry if i digged in your head for nothing

Meh, I was only there in the first place because I felt like using some wacky [skill]Glimmering Mark[/skill] build. RA is strictly for fun and using unusual skills, but winning is still more fun than losing, so I still play to win, even if it's with an unconventional build.

Personally I don't rly have time to play organized PvP anymore & have never been in a PvP oriented guild, as much as I'd like to do high-lvl PvP more. I play maybe 2 hours a week, usually RA & AB, so I kinda have to take RA seriously. The way I look at it is that it keeps you on your toes & is always fun because u have to constantly analyze & recognize ASAP the builds (if any) of foes, & who is most dangerous, & adapt on the fly. Anways, back on topic...
One time I was testing a W/R Symbolic Strike build I made, which turned out to be pretty solid. We just won our 4th, needed this win for glad pt. The match was more or less even, I & another teammate kept scoring kills, but eventually the enemy got a nice res chain & killed every1 but me in a nicely executed short timeframe. I simultaneously killed one of their teammates as this happened, so now it's 3v1, every1 out of Rez. We're on D'Alessio seaboard, I Natural Stride'd my way to the poison lake to heal & they stupidly split up. A R/x followed me, I used Natural Stride+Heal Sig, dodging Disrupting Shot, etc, killed the R/x, just as their E/x was getting in position after crossing the wooden bridge, & W/x had gone the long way around & thru the poison lake. As I saw the W/x coming, I was slightly low on HP & turned & ran away toward the beach/bridge/Ele. The W/x was not at full HP from previous fight, was poisoned, & died b4 he made it out of the lake, lol. I ran toward the ele with him casting something bad, which I Savage Slashed & killed in a few secs b4 he got anything off.
Long story short: 3v1, they shoulda easily won if not for their collective stupidity. This got my team our 5th win & glad pt. The other team was dead silent, I was lol'ing, etc. In story form, it may not be funny but was hilarious watching how it went down.
