I see your point about defending NPC's but even at that, due to the fast pace nature of AB I would not want to go 30 points into negative energy to hold a shrine for a few more seconds unless I was going to die. In that case the points lost from my death would offset holding the shrine anyway.

Saw a few funny ones today, a R/D with nothing in expertise. Only 12 wild 12 Scythe. Chilling Victory too. But this just made me laugh out loud so I had to cap it.

Probably the assassin with 6 critical strikes 10 dagger mastery 12 shadow arts and the rest in HP for restful breeze. Naturally, without any elite. He could heal for big amounts with shadow + restful!!!!!!11!!!!!

You can´t have Ursan in PvP, it´s a PvE skill.

hmmm I just noticed my list mostly consists of warriors I wonder If this profession is kind of magnet for "special" build creativity.

Well, alot of people are incredibly bad at Warriors and take them as a buttonmashing class instead of play it with skill. Infact, alot of people are incredibly bad at this game. My bad.
