[Shield Bash] is fun to use yeah, but sometimes I prefer [Disciplined Stance]. A friend helped me realize that the stance can be more helpful as it can provide you with enough time to save you from multiple targets rather than 1. In many situations there can be more than 1 melee on you and it also gives you an extra advantage against ranger dshots when you need to cast something with more than a 1/4 cast time.
Sure you need spread out your attributes a little, but so do the Mo/A's and hey, it's a quicker recharge than bash.

I have to second this... seeing the number of times my [[Falling Spider] got shafted by it

Nothing wrong with denying the enemies MM a corpse to use. U consume the corpse, that's one less minion you have to fight.

Scroll up and read tmakinen's post, it lays out a good number of reasons why it won't always help. Also, I feel a monk doesn't always have time to cast 1 second spells continuously during a scuffle.

Monk performing miracles can decide the difference in a close match, though. Note that I said can.

I saw a toucher on the Kurzick side last night who appeared to be working alone. He had a pet and started off by using life siphon and then sending the pet in.... he soon followed.
I only recall seeing him use vampiric bite, he must not have had vampiric touch equipped.

Ability to regain it means everything. It is called sustainability. If you can't sustain your bar, no fancy tricks will help you. Thats why energy management exists.
Really? Cause I have exactly opposite experience. And if I don't kill the guy in 3 seconds the he spent on the ground, that means my team aint doing their job, in which case I should be running sword/wammo crap, not a damage build.
And yet again you failing to see major point. Single spike means nothing. Ability to repeat it every few seconds means everything. If you flushed your adren and murdered your energy, you cannot do it nearly as fast as I do. And if chuckling furious spear is your idea of "fast", then my GL to you, because first guy you killed will reswpawn by the time you killed second one.
Oh and don't even start me on the whole adren thing in AB. The only way I can accept "lose all adren" skill on AB bar is if you have [Rage of the Ntouka] as your elite.... otherwise some nub wiki sin will outdo you by a large margin.
And bulls strike on hammer bar? LOL go fail some more please. Trying to hit kiting target with 1.7 attack speed is baed mkay? Thats what are your 2 midlines are for.
Get this simple thing into your head: AB is not TA or HA or GvG. In AB single death does not matter. There is no death penalty and rez is free. You can make super strong spike, but if you can't repeat it fast enough, then you will fail. Its an axiom. Don't even pretend arguing against it.
|
Your one of those kids who use bull's strike when im standing still aren't you...

If your team sucks or you're being mobbed, monk performing miracles isn't going to change much. Although I personally would want the high energy set unless I'm running a natural stride monk with d-shot and the bow goes in that slot, cuz I'd prefer to have a prot staff, 40/40 heal set and defensive set knowing all of those will be used regularly.
|
Not running any form of deep set is terrible in any given arena. Simply said you will lose to any opponent team who has a monk smart enough to bring a deep set (therefor losing a shrine, 4*3 points, x sec you can't do anything and another x sec to get back). If you run DShot you dont bring a heal set, you bring ZB. Regardless of Dshot and natty, ZB still outshines over WoH in AB.
