I think you kinda missed the point - Nowhere did ToastGod say they weren't sticking with their team.
1 Player out of 4 who can clear a shrine gives the other three players (..In a balanced team, generally a Monk, War & Support) much more freedom to do what they do best i.e. handle the other human threats.
Once the shrine is clear, obviously ToastGod is equipped to assist.
(Exhaustion might be a bit of a pain though..admittedly I would drop Ether Feast, go for more in the way of E-management..and get a good monk)

Like I said, energy hurts a bit after each cap, but it takes time to run from one shrine to the next (and usually my team is following whatever massive blob the kurzick's have going). So in that time energy is regened and exhaustion is almost or completely gone.
If we run into humans along the way, I don't do damage, I go utility. I shutdown the melee with eruption and echo diversion on their monk.
Surprisingly I don't die a lot in AB. Even when solo capping. One round of nukes clears out a shrine for me.
And usually if I am wandering around alone for whatever reason (died, haven't regrouped yet), I generally don't fear 1v1s with most classes. I'll just start nuking a shrine and if it's a melee class, they'll follow me into the nukes, if it's a ranged class, well, at least I cleared out a shrine before possible death (unless they're terrible and get scared after getting diverted twice).

Saw a few sins with frenzy + backbreaker yesterday, that combo always makes me chuckle. Also saw a R/N with shambling horrors and a few other death magic spells.

The backbreaker sin is far from being a bad build. And while I prefer flurry over frenzy, I understand that it allows you to finish your combo while your target is knocked down with no damage reduction.
See the HB forum where there is a thread complaining about this build.

but IN HB its generally run by retard players who need 2monk 1 rit just to stay alive and then rage when you survive the spike...it isn't good as any decent player can EASILY counter !!!

I agree the entire backbreaker combo, if it works, is decent. Regardless it's a 5 attack skill combo that's easy pickings for rangers in your group, or simply breaking with a stance. My point was though that the backbreaker combo with frenzy is virtually suicide, yet retardo gankers do it in AB anyway to celebrate their ability to read PvX and mindlessly mash their entire bar to kill someone.
Admittedly I have been playing some AB on this double weekend and the worst build I have seen so far was a W/E with meteor and breath of fire. It's good to see there's also still plenty of wamo's that think live vicariously + vigorous spirit + hundred blades is deadly too.

At the Backbreaker 'Sin comment, I believe that is infact the most viable build 'Sins have at the moment in terms of spiking people down.
Heck, I don't even use an IAS for it! MOAR SHADOWSTEPZ GOGO
W/X Caster is still pro though.

I had a funny encounter yesterday since I decided to use the Weekend Event to farm some faction for my UW Dervs Auro of Holy Might.
Saw 3 amazing warriors in 2 games in a row.
#1 W/Mo using Healing Breeze + Glimmer of Light
#2 W/Mo using Healing Breeze + Healers Boon <- not only amazing...#1 and #2 were in the same team
#3 W/E not only using the "standard" firestorm and Meteor Shower but additionally Liquid Flame!
Those 3 were amazing We had a lot of fun with them tbh. No trash talk but good fun
