Henchman Skill Bar Contest Winners (Guild vs. Guild)
So assuming the winners' bars are going through, some changes/fixes must definitely be made. I'd like to hear all your input. Here's mine to start it off.
I Will Win Ff
I feel like his name is missing an 's' at the end. Anyway, needs to be programmed to cancel frenzy, or just replace that skill.
Leet T H E O R Y
hammer bash will waste all adren. might get stuck in flail a lot, but so do mediocre players. deaths charge as a heal makes it a pretty bizarre bar.
This Is Trigger
Will probably die in primal rage very often. Also will exhaust itself out from shock. This build was either submitted 63 times or 51 times.
Etron In Vitro
2 stances won't work very well.
Lulu Xan
Again I don't know if the 2 stances will work well together
Tannaros Tower Rush
Probably would never use pious concentration. empathy on monks and backfire on the frontline. it will happen.
Cassie Santiago
Will end up healing with illusion of pain.
Sacred Wolfy
infuse might get messy. heal other would probably be better. Could work for pick up group GvGs/byobs
Il Juliya Il
will aura anything being attacked and use balanced stance kind of randomly also. But balanced will stop some KD chains. again used for like a byob match
Bellicus Magnus
Nothing wrong with it. just nothing good about it either
Dark Rising Shadow
Definitely will run out of energy.
A Papaya In There
bsurge on backline, flesh at 10 HP, gale to exhaustion
Luzy Of Fire
probably the other build that was submitted most often. nothing bad about it.
Mala Aurora
flesh at 10 HP. snares will not be as effective as a human, and blurred probably used randomly, but could be ok.
Hajime Hinata
deja vu? this bar is better though imo
Saint Reapers Sin
Won't use Falling Spider or Falling Lotus Strike. Wastrel's Collapse might be pretty bogus also
Pseudo Antipathy
Has potential to overwrite weapon spells. other than that is ok.
Zen Si Ert
nothing bad.
Aria Of Nerf
uses mending refrain kind of randomly. I rarely see para henchmen as is.
Aurora Alessandra
nothing really wrong with it. Again, I rarely see para henchmen.
I think the only ones that will see play are the monk henchmen for byobs (where everyone's drunk already so who cares) and the MB ele. There's almost never a shortage of frontliners, and if a midliner is missing MB is probably the best bar out of the bunch. But then again, its pretty easy to find an MB ele. I can't see these henchmen being used in any guilds with rating over 1000, but they might be acceptable for some byobs.

I don't see the point of theorizing about the execution of the builds at the moment as well. Wait till they actually are implemented before you start rant threads like these.

To be honest, heroes actually executed VoR bars fine, so I will assume they will also blind warriors/physical attackers. Apart from that it's probably pretty bad, depending on how they update the AI of course. Things like infuse are probably never going to work though. Or it will work too well if they update it like: If bar goes doen in 1 second, infuse.

They will bsurge warriors, but they will also bsurge monks. If you make their entire bar e-mangement though, they can do an OK job just blinding the entire party.
Currently they will not use any spells with glyph up in that build, but that is easily fixed. Still I would've liked to see shock arrow and even aura of resto, and not even bother with WoW/PWK (outdated and they have no idea how to use WoW now)
Half of these bars could be OK if they can write custom scripts that govern each henchie. For example, reserve X skills in a chain:
Magehunter's Smash -> ( Flail, Crushing Blow, Hammer Bash)
Those reserved skills are only ever used following magehunters.
That's dumber than a good player, but it's passable performance at the low spectrum, better than anything the AI could currently do.
Edit: heroes are perfectly mediocre ranger interrupters. The bow interrupts are slow enough that they miss alot, especially since the heroes will not be sneaking to close range. They also will not do predective or even spam interrupts, meaning they rely entirely on their bad reflexes, and they will fire and miss at 1/4th skills. They do hit enough things but it's nothing like mesmer heroes.

Is this really that hard to find? Since this is the GvG thread, I linked to the GvG bars.
http://www.guildwars.com/events/cont...vg_winners.php
BTW, the ranger bars are ridiculous choices. The Cripshot is lulzy at best, and the Magebane will probably be the only henchie ever used in order to abuse AI with interrupts *.
Edit: * I'll admit that I don't use ranger AI much to know about it, I assumed it was a slightly less insane version of mesmer interrupt AI. My main experience playing with/against ranger AI/interrupts is the Ghostly in Tombs. I defer to FoxBat

Ok found them lol. I agree with the ranger builds, cipshot is pointless. But why use Magebane when you can have a mesmer interrupt....oh wait, two mesmer bars, ONE interrupt? Now I'm no pro at GVG or any PVP for that matter, but I kinda thought that was the point in bringing Mesmer heroes.
Warriors: Cripslash? Haven't seen it used but I guess it could work. Hammer, ok. Primal Axe? Will A.I cancel when taking damage, and more importantly will A.I know to spike with shock without exhausting themselves?
Monks: I'm actually interested in them. The only real concern I have with the build setup is Infuse. Will the A.I know how to use it to catch a spike?
Necros: Seem simple enough for the A.I to use effectively, but I don't use a necro so yell at me if i'm wrong ;p
Eles: Decent builds, but I don't think they could replace a human for effectiveness.
Everything else: Will they actually be used?

Is the point to have excellent AI options for gvg without being abusive heroes, or is the point to have at least some better options than a fire ele and crap warrior hench? I don't get why this is getting serious attention. A step up for henchies is probably a good thing; making perfect gvg bars for AI to run effectively seems like trying to imitate the problematic heroes.

^This.
It also baffles me that Anet claims to have little to no dev time and then spends it on something as stupid and trivial as this instead of adressing actual problems..

Question? why is anyone waiting there time QQing about the warrior henchmen bars? THis is simply a waist of breath because the fact remains that Henchmen or heros on the front like are bad they Pioratise targets for crap don't spike and are all over the map.
useage of any AI char. on the frontline is a appeal for Failure and no amount of Uber Meta bars or ai fixes will change that fact.

I really hope they dont dedicate much dev time improving those enchies so people dont be tempted to bring 4 enchies with them to play gvg (else they can change GvG name to: Hero Battles Reloaded or something similar)
Looking to the bars and looking into enchies "artificial intelligence" of the moment, its pretty much obvious that enchies will fail using those bars (at least in the majority of the cases)
Get those devs doing what relly matters Anet: IMPROVE GvG MECHANISM AND BALANCE SKILLS!

The most baffling to me is the rit bar, what's the point of it if you can just take a monk that will heal for more, why give a henchman a modified runner bar when they cant run flags
