There's also a D/Me version with Echo in place of Life Sheath and Inspired/Revealed Hex in place of Holy Veil. Dunno what replaces Guardian.
Never run any of them personally, I'd guess D/Mo is stronger.

Well, the most important thing is I always play semi-drunk. VERY important.
I think the biggest mistake people make when trying to run a derv healer is that they spread themselves too thin by trying to do too much and they confuse healing with monking. People always compare Derv Healers with Monks, they are two completely different things. A Dervish can out heal a monk, but they can't out monk a Monk. Derv healers don't usually do well in TA because TA is all about coordination and finesse. RA is all about POWER. My build only uses two attribute categories and it buffs the crap out of them. Its a one trick pony with a lot of healing muscle and it can keep going full speed long after monks are starved for energy, turning bigger numbers.
The D/Mo builds out there try and do too much, healing/cond removal/hex removal/survivability and it spreads them too thin, turning them into a jack of all trades, master of none.
The D/Me is a power healing tanker. No cond or hex removal, but it can power thru almost anything. Empathy/Backfire/VoR/IP/SV, whatever, I don't remove it, I just tell them to fight thru it and I power the red bar back up. Its also almost immune to melee, interrupts, and e-denial. Its also very unforgiving. One mistake can be the end of the whole team, so I try not to make any.
I have youtube videos. Nothing fancy, but it wins more often than not http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8sjqFO5dcw

O people have finally toyed a healing dervish? I've been waiting for it since How well does it work (outside of RA as nine fingers already covered that)?

The D/Me build is fun. Here's another that I like:
Mysticism: 10 +1 hood +1 rune (12 total)
Earth Prayers: 11 +1 rune (12 total)
Healing Prayers: 10
Signet of Pious Light, Patient Spirit, Infuse Health, Imbue Health, Pious Renewal, Mirage Cloak, Spotless Soul, Spotless Mind
Spam pious renewal as you remove it while healing using sig of pious light. Infuse and imbue for big heals. Patient spirit helps you gain energy when used on yourself or aids in healing others. Mirage cloak against melee/rangers. Slap spotless soul or spotless mind on anybody suffering from conditions/hexes.

I've heard some guilds are playing around with them in GvG. Don't know to what degree of success. Quite a few people are running D/Me's in RA. As I said before, I'm not personally a fan of the D/Mo but I have played one guy a few times who's pretty strong with a Life Sheath Derv. I don't know if the build is good, or just the guy, but he generally makes a good showing. Wish I rememberd his name, so I could give him his props, but I don't.
As far as TA goes, a modded Rampageway was pretty strong before the SoH nerf. D/Me - Mo/R - R/W - R/W. In general, though, they are not favored.
If your into the PvE thing, try a derv healer on a hero. They seem to run them pretty well, believe it or not.

2 random things that are surprisingly effective against this build:
1) Rust
2) unpredictable KD mid-signet, negating the recharge
both are kinda rare, but I did run into someone running rust and gust on the same bar. repeatedly. >_<

Yeah, Rust can be inconvenient. So can Ignorance and MoI. After some trial and error, you learn ways dealing with them. What I have the most trouble with is mobility and my own team.
With the build I run, I don't use a +20% enchant weapon mod, so I am almost constantly casting, healing and maintaining enchants. With the Myst bonus, my enchants are free, and I always maintain them all as kind of an energy bank against e-denial. When my mana gets robbed, I just strip my own enchants and get the energy back to recast.
It works well, but it decreases my mobility and overextenders leaving me strung out and unprotected is my biggest vulnerability.

Interesting take on a dervish healer, but surely you are a bit bold by counting out deep wound and hexes like Shame, Diversion? Nevertheless kudos for coming out with an alternative to a D/Mo healer.

Shame or Diversion don't bother me a bit.
I only have 2 skills that trget an ally and SoPL won't trigger Shame. SoPL and Echo both burn Diversion.
Deep Wound, Empathy, Backfire, VoR, IP... You just power thru it. Not a problem.

Had some super cool awesomesauce necro telling me this build was useless today. Found that quite funny.
When your team lacks dps to kill anything, blame your healerz! Sigh.

LOL, get used to that. Derv healers have always been kind of a bastard child for some reason. You can win 90% of the time and, when you finally do lose, you catch hell for being a worthless derv healer. I've been told how bad I am after a loss by people I know I've beaten more times than I can count.
I posted the build I use on this forum as a Glad 1 a year and a half ago. Back then, I used to get called every name you can think of. 4,200 Glad points later, absolutely nothing has changed except that now I usually play on Do Not Disturb.
