TBH in this meta is pretty awesome. With the possible exceptions of MoI, Stand your ground, B surge and glass arrows, I can't really think of any skills that I would want nerfed.
But really you have all sorts of viable builds in this meta: dual paragonway, dual rangers, balanced with the Pblock mesmers, splitway with the Me/Mo's and mindblast eles, rawrway with the Me/N, and omegaspike. Although to be honest there should be more viable pressure 8v8 templates. The fact that you basically cannot out pressure an opponent in an 8v8 scenario and that you have to spike shit out with paragons to score kills is bad for the game, IMO. But everything else in the meta isn't that bad, comparatively

Years ago, people used to run as much +health as possible, some would run +AL on chest and/or legs. Now you're considered bad if you don't run as much +AL as possible, and it is this realization that was largely responsible for pressure dying. WoH and patient also share some of that blame, but for the most part it wasn't skill balance that made pressure die.

Is this thread really happening?
Players that don't know anything about PvP are not going to like obs mode because they don't know what to look at.
Players that think this is a good and healthy meta haven't played during the numerous healthier metas of the past.

People started using recup which also killed pressure. Now the only viable way to do it is all out with hexspam. Anything less usually fails with monks being as powerful as they are.

This build has been used for months and months, yet you haven't seen an interesting match in "a long time?"
You can only observe so-called "high-end PvP" so much before it becomes utterly gawd awful and a pain to endure.
Being the best in a dead game? Really? That's like a group of gym class fat kids that can't climb rope, but being the only one to at least be able to pick up his feet and support his own weight for a few seconds before collapsing to the floor.
You are still an obese fat kid. Congrats.
FFS.. Flip a coin, nobody cares about the outcome of PvP of a dead game.
And sitting there "watching" the outcome of OTHER people play PvP in a low populated game with an unchanged meta is even more pathetic.
You have now officially become the fat kid with the doctor's note stating that you cannot participate in gym class because strenuous activity might kill you.

lol you're an idiot
@OP, you can't judge how stale a meta is based on most euro teams generally it seems (with a few exceptions). they like to copy each other regardless of if it's good or bad.
though of course in your screenshot it's american teams, which that build is the direct result of iop being really powerful (with moi and mind blast templates subsequently being pretty powerful as well). so blame anet and their dartboard skill buff updates instead of updates to just try to keep the game balanced.
there are a few really specific "good" builds currently though I agree, and hopefully the problem is addressed in the next skill update.

I simply cannot understand how playing byob is not more fun than playing the same shitty role over and over again in the same shitty situation every single time. Unless, of course, you're uncomfortable with the fact that in byob you have to think for yourself more.

Playing meta builds against good guilds is fun.
Playing meta builds against horrible guilds/byob guilds is boring.
Playing byob against good guilds is frustrating.
Playing byob against horrible guilds is fun.
Having a significantly decreased chance at winning sucks.
Having an even (+/- epsilon) chance at winning is fun.
Having a stupidly high chance of winning sucks.

Strangely enough we win more than half our matches by far most of our losses are because someone (or more than one) RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed it up for the rest of the team. A byob guild with actual 8 good players would win about 85% of their matches.
Playing byob against horrible guilds is good game within 6minutes.
Playing byob against an actual good guild on any map means we lose within 6 minutes. This happens perhaps once in 100 matches.
Playing byob against "good" guilds (top100) on our map is fantastic.
Playing byob against "good" guilds on a shitty map is frustrating.
Whatever though. I guess i'm one of the few players in the game that played balanced when the game was fun, so when the game stopped being fun i couldn't play balanced anymore. Every time i get asked to play guest i get bored as RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO. I guess if you've never really played the game while it was good you can enjoy balanced now. Still don't understand how it can possibly be more fun than byob though, I guess you're just playing with the wrong people and playing the wrong builds.

Maybe I should clarify:
Playing any good build against anyone in the top 10-15 is fun.
Playing random/untested/etc builds against anyone not in the top 10-15 is fun.
Most other things are boring.
P.S. Condition pressure is not a "balanced" build.
P.P.S. I don't think you realize that my guild plays basically a new/random build everyday. Well, with European/American time differences, I can see how you'd come to that misconception.
