Hey Guru'ers!

Just wanted to let everyone here know about an exciting addition to PvX. We've decided to make downloading our builds in bulk much easier by hosting them on Box.net (for the meantime).

Builds have now been "packed" into .zip files and can be conveniently downloaded from the main page or from this page.

The builds are currently only divided by section (GvG, HA, farming, running, etc.); however, if you follow the link we have a page for suggestions about the specific criteria of our builds packs.

I hope this helps make our site more accessible and easier to use than before, and I hope any of you who have questions or would like to contribute check out PvX! Thanks!

I like this concept. However, whats the point of this? We will still have to look on Wiki for the runes, weapons, etc.

Actually, we're in the process of making equipment packs. That way if you need to re-roll a PvP character, you could easily load the weapons, runes, and the build (as long as it was in our packs).

Obviously that would only be useful for PvP-only characters, but I think it's helpful for people who re-roll the same PvP slot a lot.

I was a strong mcflagger back in the day. I cbf'd to care about higher-end PvP ever since my c2 account was hacked. But that was a long time ago.

Why would anybody download a bunch of builds that are basically sub-par versions of the meta from two weeks before the build gets vetted?

The PVX admins are putting considerable effort into helping people utilize their content more easily.

I think many people will appreciate it. For those that don't, its no skin off anyone's nose. Just don't use it.

Haha, well if you want to make a suggestion or submission, you could use this page.

Hope that helps. We're trying to make these as accessible as possible, so we're working on updating them as often as we can (at least until we get a server dedicated to them).

And for those of you that don't appreciate this addition to our site, I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you (?) and hope you would come by my talk page on PvX to let me know how we could better improve our site.

Now all we need is a way to organize our templates into professions or something other than alphabetically 'cause I'm afraid that if I download the packs my build template folder will be inundated and unnavigable with all these new builds on top of the builds I already have. Saving every build that pops up in AC ftw!

Actually, if you just extract the build pack folder to your "skills" folder, then you should have no problems. In other words, the folders separate all your builds out for you by area, rating (Great/Good), and by teams.

Oh, and as far as the professions thing goes, that will take care of itself. Since the builds are listed alphabetically, the builds will organize by profession (Assassin (A) builds first, Derv (D) builds second, and so on). And that shouldn't matter because the builds always show up for your profession anyway
