Hahaha that wouldve been my guildmate who was trying a shockaxe bar olol, and yeah I know u was lying, but GW would die without trolls. We troll ab's all the time, especially when we run into ppl we know, always good fun

It gets so bad that my silly guildies sometimes lose a match because they wanna go after our friends at all costs and keep getting smoked (that's the main reason why they keep trying).

So yeah, wandering into AB, minding my own business - only to see CneX alliance at one gate, AyB guild team at another, and spending the entire match playing damage control.

kinda sad....after more then a yr cant find any familiar faces in ab outpost now, and teh ab maps are screwd up
the times when u can actually find decent random ab players are long gone

The AB maps are 'screwed' as you put it, because of a lack of many strong guilds or players on the Kurzick side. They can't win much so we spend our time pretty much permanently on Ancestral and, if we're lucky, we might see Grenz every once in a while.

As for not being able to find a decent random group then I guess you must play on the Kurz side because the Luxon side has many strong players.

I was actually referring to both sides for the decent random grp, because compared to 1 or 2 yrs ago, there just isnt enough good players that still play this game. most "strong players" do not go pug nowadays

Thats not it, just most people playing seriously a few years ago don't anymore because they got their r12 whereas new people filter into JQ/FA/SC for their faction since AB was left in the dust with the faction revamp.

Not just that. I recall that when the FFF got hit, for quite a while AB was overcrowded until people got used to JQ/FA and the new SCs were discovered. Most people don't play AB for kicks, they play for faction; I wonder if you'd actually attract better players back if they gave AB a bit of a boost on the rewards side? I don't know, something like a bit of additional Balthazar faction for winning the game would be nice. Or at least up the faction rewards, because right now AB is completely outstripped by JQ/FA/SC.

Faction is a nice addition, but for me not the main reason to play AB.
I got most of my title from AB, but I played for fun and testing some team builds once in a while.

So Grenz has become the new Kaanai, the Grenz rotation just now was riddled with kurzick failures. Every single game I played we won on the 7cap. Anet needs to buff AB rewards already to restore some balance.

The balance is there. This is user made.

The reason it stays deep in kurzick territory is because butthurt teenagers with tormented weapons can't handle losing. Somewhere along the road a perception of the luxons being better and winning more than the kurzicks developed. So all the aforementioned willies went luxon and the sides were even more skewed. On the other hand there seems to be a constant stream of total asshats entering AB on the kurzick side. I guess pve just makes people more prone to choose kurzick or something. This isn't exactly a scientific study, but my impression is that standing in the outpost as kurzick I count a wide majority of players with pve titles or non-impressive pvp titles. On the luxon side you notice a lot more balanced teams and players from the same guilds and alliances. (Everyone knows this, this is uncontroversial)

As long as people are obsessing with winning or being on the team with the largest share of tormented weapons this problem isn't likely to correct itself. On the other hand the AB playerbase is small enough for a single guild or alliance to make a difference. A scrub alliance already did this(went kurzick that is), and there was no end to their showing of pride here on the forums when they managed to push the border. I will admit I was impressed by their dedication and effort to revigorate AB. But I guess they wimped out for after a week they were again luxon. The same guys now choose to sync AB from the luxon side.. Yeah, this is user made - enjoy yourselves and stop whining.
