lol, was there suppose to be [sarcasm][/sarcasm] around that one? O_o
You're an idiot.
AB is about holding territory. Obviously if you have no territory or if you give up territory, then you are going to have to cap. However, the act of capping itself gives your team no points.

Yep, it's too bad the idiots who run around and cap while there are people right behind them recapping will never learn.
@ the OP
Balanced stance and shadow arts each have their pluses and minuses in AB. Balanced stance is pretty overpowered but amazingly most AB monks will wait to activate it until after they are KD'd. If I see a balanced looking group with say, a dev hammer, ranger, fire ele and monk, that's a group to avoid fighting unless it's to defend a shrine that still have live NPCs or it's a lopsided fight with another team or stragglers. Not worth wasting time with them in the open or risking pointless deaths. It's always good to size up groups before charging in, you die a lot less and avoid having "one of those days".

It's funny how many people do this, both in AB and in other forms on PvP.
They use other skills similarly, protting themselves after you have used your dagger chain, or beggining to kite when they start getting pounded on, rather than before.
Anti KD is pro because Mo/As get rolled by a half decent frontliner. Surely you know capping doesn't win, otherwise you'll see 12 eles running around like headless chickens
listen to this guy. the point of ab isn't to cap shrines and gain points for your team. it's to run head first into mobs and try to kill shit.
I lost count of the number of times I got qknocked off a meteor in my last 4 games. The best was getting qknocked by a meteor off a shock, then into another shock. So random.
To top it off, a pair of retards started sharing their opinions about how only bad monks don't run balanced stance in AB, and how you should be able to survive 8 seconds of knockdown with 2 prages and a fire ele spamming you unmolested anyway.
The point of the story though..... we won three of the four because the other teams were too busy timing knockdowns to cap any shrines. So after an ungodly amount of deaths to kd spam, I'm still pretty happy running mo/a to cap faster :P
Sry to break it to you, but if you're not running Balanced I'm assuming you're running return in which case you should be returning away from wars before they can knocklock you. At the very least you should be pre guardianing.
Brace Yourself, run it on support midline and you're made. Midliners with command shouts can also take shields and get the full armor, me likeeeeee. Monk can gladly go /A then without trouble. On the other hand, casters can also bring "Fall Back!" for extra speed. so monky can gladly go /W without sacrificing balanced stance.
And Kurrrrrzicks, learn to f*cking play, roll more rangers and mesmers to roll fire eles and bad monks and we might see luxon maps again . That and listen to Reverend Dr. KILL THE ENEMY' S ***** CAPPING SPREE!
Bah it's ancestral ancestral and more ancestral, Luxon AB 'balanced' there is shit easy to bead because they need nukers to storm the castle, and nukers are easy to wtfPWN. Roll 4 good troll rangers and watch luxons lose.

Guardian>start kiting>meteor>palm strike>trampling ox would be an example of what I'm talking about.

IMO you should scream at your Ranger for not interrupting that Meteor and predicting at least one of those Shocks. Then you should insult your Warrior for not linebacking one of the melees collapsing on you: he should have seen it coming. Finally, take a shot at your ele for not supporting you with a Weapon of Warding while he was standing there doing nothing at all. Infact he should be nuking the crap out of the balled up Primal Rages as soon as he finished casting that WoW.
Insert some bad language.
After that you can safely QQ and leave everyone speechless.
Warriors? in AB? linebacking? ever tried that with a defy pain troll? LMAO
Theres a reason why I usually play melee myself...
As for the rest, its easy, dont invite LOLsins, they always run off to play ninja and die a horrible death. Don't invite ANYONE with legolas in his name, dont add minion masters, they troll lag and get in your way. Try and get a decent ranger, which is easy, try and find a decent ranger that doesn't run off all the time to troll players, thats HARD lol. In the mean time your team eats every meteor, diversion, and faint they throw at you but meh....
GW is a team game people get ****ing used to it ><.

Haha true, I wasn't running 100 miles an hour in the opposite direction, I was just staying out of range of the sin, at least until the meteor hit. The point is that you're talking like you never got shocked by a warrior or that guardian is some kind of defense against it. Not trying to be rude but a lot of this chest beating seems to go on
Reminds me, my necro got interrupted in RA the other day, I said 'random?', the ranger of course says 'no'. It was foul feast. I'm pretty sure he was about a second late trying to interrupt the faint before it, especially judging by his performance for the rest of the match.

Just make sure you type "lol random ranger u fail" in all chat. This makes you look pro and if you're lucky will have a demoralising effect on the ranger and his team.
tele wont let me use fall back, only strip enchant eles in his team
p.s. make sure your ele has command shields and you spec 9-10 in command and youll take less damage!
anyway, i ab'd a bit last night in pugs on both sides to see that state of the pug world and what its like to play against the organized teams. i got to go against some of my usual teammates (sadly not mako or hunni yesterday) and i almost had more fun playing against them. everytime we pretty much got trashed because of the lack of organization so i could make it personal and just go after my friends. i played a dual stance cripshot basic ranger bar because i could survive the best and disrupt their usual tactics. but yes, it sucks pretty hard to go against that kind of coordination
edit: wow somehow i missed reading that whole second page, i swear it wasnt there! anyways, i guess bungus beat me to the point about command shields. if you run a curse bitch necro if you can get your hands on some q5 13al shields drop one in soul reaping and spec them!

Reason: credit to bungus
Only suckish thing about fallback eles is that they get absolutely OWNED by interrupts. Unless you're the oddball running burning shield, which is pretty much a poor man's shieldbash, you're screwed against a good or even mediocre ranger. Of course you can cancelcast, but cancelling, say, rodgorts invocation is VERY expensive. Besides that, who wants to cast most ele spells on a shield set rather then the usual 40/40?
About pug's I'm pretty optimistic lately, a lot of people actually ask me to ping my skills and are suggesting ajustments that fit in the team better. Unless you got morons that jst add-tab the entire district pugging AB's is pretty bearable. After a while you start to recognise rabid AB guilds anyways that often got a spot left (Cnex, BK, KFC and whatnot).

I've gotten shocked and stuff sure but I just find it hard to get nailed by meteor, that stuff casts so slow , all you need to be doing to dodge it is moving and have a speed boost. If you're running /A I'd recommend taking dash over dark escape I find that running away before the dmg hits is far superior to tanking it in dark escape
Funny, I was playing my necro last night and a ranger got 3 rupts in a row on me, FF got Dshotted, then he got my feint with complete luck, the skill progress cast bar was completely empty then get gets a HCT weaken knees and has the nerve to tell me I need to cancel cast better

i consider myself to be a pretty good ranger (ign jaximus maximus), and i find myself putting d shot on the mind blast because if you shut that down the eles go dry fast. sav a rodgorts and d shot a meteor and youre set and they are out of energy.
as for the rabbid ab guilds, CneX is pretty solid from the players ive been with, FouR is who i mainly team with, sRs is full of solid players, and the asian symbol'd one is good too.
Hmm lets not forget sRs of course, lol how could I, we get good pugs from them on a regular basis because our guild leader happens to be friends with a couple of them. I don't see FouR playing much, maybe they're not euro's. I only played with Bobby2 once who was running dual charge. LOL the mess in chat was unbelievable (OMG nubs, charge is baed, l2p blablabla), nonetheless we cut through the kurzicks like a hot knife through butter.
