My god this must have taken Anet a long time, taken some skills from TA and just deleted HB, i see they have instantly fixed the problems with them arena's, not yet again another format which will die after a month because of rank discrimination (no im not whining if i want to play it i have plenty of friends i can get groups with) and because within a couple of hours there is better builds than others which hen makes it barely different to other formats where there is little to no variety in the builds played.

Getting a team is easy as pie btw. There's a lot of peope that want to try out CA, just don't expect them to be any good, but it's a good way of getting the taste of things.

Awesome arena is awesome. Once you found the best build in the deck its easy to get 1000 wins (need the time ofcourse).
We stopped at 45 cons because we had food waiting.
Makes:
Also, next tier is called Acolyte

All the Codex arena does is making half the classes useless.
The result is a very one-sided pvp experience.

I disagree totally.
Codex feels to me like some of the best balanced PvP (between teams) I've played in GW, a basic meta forms after a few hours, none of these gimmick spike or other point farming builds from the past.
I am convinced that anyone who complains about a daily roll of skills is simply not cut out for sealed deck play, should go do something else and leave Codex to those that can handle it.

It's as competitive as they come, I gotta agree with that, no buildwars when everyone runs the same stuff.

People who are complaining about Codex Arena need to grow a pair, just because you are terrible at thinking of builds, and pvp in general, doesn't mean the format is bad.
For people complaining about groups, every time I map into Codex Arena at least 10 people automatically random invite me without any titles on or me saying anything in chat, so you're full of shit. What you're really complaining about is not getting any GOOD groups, well, my only advice for you is to get good yourself first, and then worry about your teammates.
Titles really are not hard to get as long as you have any sort of clue as to what you're supposed to be doing to win. Players who don't have titles generally have no clue, and while they may potentially be the smartest most creative player in the game, they lack the experience that makes them ACTUALLY good. So basically, to all those pvetards who think they're just as good as all those guys who have titles, frankly, no you're not.
On another note, I think that the Codex Arena could benefit from the following:
1. NPC stating all available skills across professions
2. Ability to enter without a full team, so that people don't have to form a group but more importantly so that people already in groups aren't totally screwed when someone leaves.
3. Tournaments with decks that alternate between rounds.
4. A Slightly larger skill pool.

It's just TA with a different gimmick every day.
How is that more balanced than ta?

Because when the skill pool is this small, the synergy between skills in the deck tends to also be fairly poor. What this means is that you can overcome their skill synergies with player skill pretty easily, since their "synergies" really don't amount to much at all.

There will always be skills whose synergy overpowers other skills without synergy. Everyone will only play builds with said skills.

Okay,
I don't think Codex Arena could of been anymore disappointing. I thought that this arena was suppose to merge together the style of TA and HB together to create a better format.
This is just Team Arena with terrible bars. In some ways, this is a good replacement for Team Arena.
Now, replacing Hero Battles with this? Please tell me your freaking joking? This has nothing to do with Hero Battles. It feels like you've just deleted TA and HB and replaced it with another TA.
ANet, why do you continue to fail so badly? I mean for the past two years, you've made Hero Battle players believe that there will be a fix. Instead, you decided to just delete the format altogether for no reason.
Codex Arena == Team Arena
Hero Battles = DeleteD for no reason.
Oh, and ANet, if you actually paid attention to your game, you would of realized that Hero Battles was actually going quite well in the last month until you deleted it. In the years at the top of the ranks playing Hero Battles, I have never seen so many different builds being played! Mesmers, Rits, Earth Eles ... so many. The only problem, was dual meld... but big deal, barely anyone played that.
I really think that Codex Arena should of been a replacement for Team Arena... well to be honest, it seems that way... you just felt like removing Hero Battles too.
There was no need to delete Hero Battles. I think I had more fun in the last month of Hero Battles than I have in the past 1-2 years and I wasn't the only one that thought this.
BRING BACK HERO BATTLES

The first I did when I entered Codex Arena the first time, was make a build and hit Enter Battle button, I was really surprised and annoyed for the need of organized teams in that place, I was originally very excited about the "PvP love" patch, thinking about something to enjoy without the problems of places like HA; I was thinking if they remove the casual player friendly 1vs1 mode, they logically would add another 1vs1 mode with limited skills or something. I was imagining a HB with limited skills or a fixed skill bar for some days, where you enter with your heroes the same way as HB, but without all that annoying and repetitive meta. Or a place exactly as Codex Arena is, but with heroes (this one will keep me playing all day forever and ever).
They limited me to play only RA, and maybe HA on events weekends (with some lame sway or iway for faster pugging)
I have no guild, I have no friends (ingame). The only I do is solo or pug.

What's the deal with this charm animal crap and no comfort animal?
Just take pet skills out if charm/comfort aren't staples.

the funny thing is that was exactly what everyone complained about in TA - everyone running the same thing, but now that complaint remarkably disappeared into thin air.

Suggestion: Allow adding heroes in Codex Arena (with limited skills too of course). Plus adding the tournament system of HB, plus HB arenas with the original cap system (only center needed).

That would be crappier than HB.

Playing the same build for one day is not the same as playing the same build for 6 months. So clearly, its not the same thing.
