honestly its lame in my opinion won one lost one so can't say i didn't try it.
pros:
1.more widespread profession usage.
cons:
1.not many of the skills really coexist with one another.
2.only one class per team??
3.everything is the same. seriously like someone said rank discrimination is a factor because if every team is almost the same of course the higher rank has a better chance to win. thats why they formed rank group in the first place.

Awesome! Now, this is some serious fun making and playing builds!

But that would require him to be .... shudder ... creative. You know, not taking PvX bar from wiking and hoping todays skills will match it.

Im not really a pvp player these are my first impressions:
Forming teams annoying but ok, liucky i have friends.
Creativity a plus, unitl u get owned and everyone else in team leaves.
Earlier on in the day can win with rubbish bulds until everyone starts figuring out good builds, then u hve to adapt.
Honor points are a bit hard to get, therefore I will be compltely amazed by anyone maxing this title.

Seems to me that the only people that truly hate this arena are those that don't want to spend the time catching up with a new meta everyday. Has nothing to do with creativity or PvX. The point of sealed deck is to cycle crappy and godly skills every so often so as to keep players on their toes and think strategically. And face it; this is more balanced and fun than TA and HB combined. As I said, the only people that don't like this are those who are not used to a short-ass metagame. Has. Nothing. To. Do. With. Lack. Of. Skill.
9/10 (needs an NPC telling us which skills are in the deck, other than that, it's pritty cool.)

every match I played was vs a monk, a paragon and a support rit and a (insert any dmg character here) so I didn't realy like it, I also don't like the part of preforming teams, becouse in that way you will always face a team that is like the same as you so it will take you like 5 minutes to get the first kill...

They ought to lower the "honor points" to every 3 consecutives. 5 consecs is one of those things that probably didn't help TA stay alive any, the mediocre players need to feel some sense of progress or they won't hang around and then you're left with the elitist ghosttown.
My other issue is how much this felt like regular TA. With 20 skills per profession, the pool size and average power level is much higher than the published sealed rules. That does make for a decent variety of builds, but I didn't feel stretched to put awful skills on my bar as I have in player-run tourneys. And thus fighting heal spam + bonettis monks, WoR rits, wounding dervs, strong hexes, primal/hammer wars... feels all too familiar. Well, maybe today's pool just happened to be strong, will see how it goes.

Too bad it cant' be 6v6. Though the "no 2 professions" rule would come into play.

make the no-multiple-primaries-of-same-kind apply to secondaries too.
trying to kill a team with 3 derv secondaries and one primary, all using armor of sanctity (coupled with SoM on mesmer and wounding strike on derv -.-'..) is not something you are actually able to do, even with weapon of remedy and mend ailment, for example.
as for today, lol frustr+pd/pleech.

Great concept, but as a non-pvper i just dont like the fact that you need to preform groups. I like to do some pvp'ing from time to time, hop in RA and have some fun, but ive never gotten around getting pvp title.. So bye-bye Codex for me. Make RA Codex and you make me happy.

This new arena is fun. I read some of the entries here and I've decided to just not give a hoot about ranks and skill bars (at least as much) and just form a team and enter.
The only bad things I've noticed is that if a team loses people quit, which is stupid because a smart team would figure out why their build failed and just re-enter. The rank discrimination is stupid too, I lol'd the second I saw someone spamming for g6++ healers. What makes them think that a g6 monk will know how to run a Glimmer of Light bar with other limited skills? Half those people with ranks got them through running the same WoH/Prot-line bar every match anyways. Skill diversity is awesome too; today I found out Incendiary Arrows and Steam is a cool combo, a combination I'd never even think to try running elsewhere.
And really people, if the skill bar for your character isn't in your favor don't be stubborn! Switch to a different character and try a different build for crying out loud! The hindsight of the anti-codex QQ'ers is just ridiculous.

Stop bitching and play it. It's not this idealized byob thing you all think it's supposed to be.

To the rank discrimination crowd:
No matter what bar he's running, a g6 monk is going to be, on average, better than a g0 monk at pretty basic tasks - healing targets, anticipating damage, kiting, staying alive. Completely unfamiliar territory does not thoroughly diminish player skill.

Oh my god people. This thread makes me lose faith in humanity.
-If you're disappointed, it's because you were expecting the wrong thing. Not anet's fault. They delivered *exactly* what they said they were going to!
-Rank discrimination: Get over it. Maybe make friends or play with existing ones?
-The skill decks are RANDOM, and they change every day. Stop bitching about the ENTIRE FORMAT because of "shitty skills anet gave me".
On a lighter note, I love the format... certain decks will be more fun than others. The first day's was great, but todays is meh imo.
Oh, and +1 for an NPC that shows the entire deck available for that day.

I actually like this deck. It has made some hilarious builds actually good. Quad spec'd Frenzy paragon with Tiger Stance as a cancel and "It's just a Flesh wound!" for all the barb+apply spam, gogogo!

I wouldn't take this for much, a lot of the PvXish people who went there will be finishing PvE stuff up so that they can endlessly farm Halloween stuff or play Costume Brawl 24/7 for quite a long time later today. I'd see how it's doing after Halloween ends tbh, I don't plan on playing CA much at all because CB will be in, unless CB has REALLY TERRIBLE bars or something.
