It's about Pindown vs Cripshot vs Melandru's.
I was waiting for someone to mention cripshot! Pindown is a descent skill only because it provides the hassle of the prot having to remove it. Melandrus is gud cos 99% of the times it will not get rupted and its gud poison spread Cripshot is gud cos in relics the prot is going to be like RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO THIS im out of energy sorry bro your on your own *looks for F12 button* However melandrus i think is still the winner. In normal matches, it can be incredibly useful for applying quick relief or quick pressure. Cripshot can be easily pded (however alot more mesmers running pblock O.O). Same problems with pindown.

I just got a realisation that this post is probably the stupidest post ive ever done and probably the most pointless considering the thread it is in.

The use of cripple condition for the ranger snare bar is to slow down an enemy in capture points maps like forgotten, antechamber and hoh in the case where the prot is not close to your target. which means pindown and melandru shot will both serve its purpose.

Again in 1v1 kill maps grasping earth is the better snare than mel/pin/crip shot as hexes are harder to remove.
