The short answer is not really.
They are doing *something* but it's at an insignificant rate compared to the new amount of bots. The problem is that because of their inefficiency and the business hierarchy, they don't have the resources to deal with bots at such a large scale. It's the same reason why they can't even balance the game properly. Also, their priority is not about banning PvP bots, which is arguably harder to catch than PvE bots (I know it's obvious to a human person observing the bot's actions, but it's less obvious than a PvE bot).
Unless there is a better a more responsive way to report bots (than to use /report which rarely gets anything done or to collect tens of screenshots and write essays on why someone is botting to submit the ticket), it's difficult for the community to help them with it. Anet needs a better way to allow the community to police itself, since we know they can't deal with it.
If you have a suggestion, go ahead and post it. Otherwise this thread's not going to go anywhere if it's just a complaint.
