A great idea for RA
Okay so everyone knows how 2 monk teams CAN suck especially if they have no damage and won't resign, right?
Well I got this idea out of frustration and thought to just mention because you never know.
Every time a Monk/Healer enters RA (or maybe a perma option), they will be asked to select from two options:
1) Enter normally
2) Enter only if the team being set up has no Monk/healer or restart timer.
This option for any class might be pushing it but it would be good idea to just make it norm for RA because of other healer types...the rit, derv, and even other classes builds i've seen can be okay...
Now this allows a monk who doesn't want to play healer and go smite or whatever and they would like a healer too with the normal option. Although all smite builds suck but it's to keeps things normal you know why make it so limited.
So every time a monk/healer player enters they don't have to worry about another monk/healer joining their team and pretty much waste time.
Now let me say this I KNOW that 2 monk teams can get you 25 wins if they get the right combo of players but seriously it's RA and there is a problem with two monk healers being on the same team more often than not usually because each one sucks and relies on the other skills or help to keep red bars up.
This may be the best thing in RA history and if two healers enter without choosing the right option then people will know they are noobs

Lol, so you want to take the some of the random out of random arenas and allow people the option of not going to 25 wins with two monk healers? doesn't sound like that would work too well ;-) can we add a third option?
3) Enter only if the team being set up has a Monk/healer.

Ra games are supposed to be quick and cheap, i don't think something like that will be implemented every time soon. In case of 2 monks teams you should:
A) win the game and then leave if there isn't a healer in the other team.
B)resign and ask your teammates to do the same/ don't heal if they don't resign if the other team have a healer.
Those are unwritten ra rules but often people lacking of common sense will force you in 10 minutes games. you can't fix a bad attitude.

Would you guys get a brain and stop replying with
"Its RANDOM Arenas!"
The fact that it is Random,does not mean it can't be fixed...With your phylosophy,if 1 millon monkey space alien invaders get into RA and started [email protected] everyone,it shouldn't be fixed because it was random.
Although,I don't agree completely with the idea,the subject is 100% true and should be fixed,and this looks like a temporal fix.
2 monks in 1 team=no one plays or they play and get bored.
That.Need.A.Fix.

So, if this were implemented, how would this system define a healer? What if it mixes up a WoH monk with a Ranger with mending touch? What if there's a warrior with mending, breeze, orison, and glimmer/WoH? What if you simply get a bad monk?
Also, entering may take forever because there are obviously less monks/healers than there are of all the other professions combined.
And yeah, hate to say it, but it is random. Recently I got a team with two monks, one being my GL, a bot with no skills or weapons, and me, a melee. The other team had two monks, a leecherbot, and a BSurge ele that left me useless. Everyone resigned except the leecherbot and the unarmed bot.

It would be nice to always have a healer on the team, but Anet would most likely never change it. They just probably put it in and said, "Go knock yourselves out with this, and g'head and QQ about it, we don't have a reason for implementing it, we can't fix it, and we don't really care."

Nothing can save RA that would be worth the necessary effort, it is and always will be a steaming pile of filth, take it as it is.
Any person pressing Enter Battle should know there's a great chance of getting a team with mostly healers and no damage output whatsoever, and every single one of you should bet you're going to have to stick it out for 8 minutes as the 4 of you heal the shit out of each other, and anyone who doesn't partake in the healing will get reported for leeching.
p.s. guild wars.
