Dealing with SW
What should you do as a Monk in GvG when facing a team with 2 warriors, 1 SW sin, cripshot and a FC Lyssa blood mesmer? or when you face these 5 SW 2 monks 1 OoTV flagger teams?
Playing them quite abit and I feel quite lost on how to follow all of them (3/5 melees in each of these teams :P ).
This isn't a QQ thread so please don't turn it into one, this is a constructive play thread.

As a prot monk:
follow warriors with guardian, follow the sin with shielding hands, use RC to remove deep wound, keep frontline clear of weakness, and don't let the WoH monk get KD'd.
As a WoH monk:
redbar, use your 40/40 heal set
And when facing the Me/N with lyssa's aura: make sure that lyssa's aura is never up for more than 5 seconds. seriously. there's no reason that that skill should not be stripped whenever it us put up.

This, for the most part.
A good prot is extremely effective against a SW sin, but a good bsurge wins matches against them. Blind that lead attack and the spike dies. Blind dev hammer and that spike dies. Learning to use your skills appropriately is what wins matches. That's why bad teams with a bsurge still lose against melee heavy teams.
Against 5 sin teams, what you can hope to do is trash them with good damage and good backliners before they can rack up the damage to trash you first. A good bsurge will help you do this, even though a good team will spread their assassins.

As long as you can remove the cripple right away, their spike is done.
Use both draw and rc whenever cripple goes up to constantly keep them from going through the chain.
At some point you'll get behind with a mass amount of cripple being spammed, but at that point your offense should be killing them.

The main thing is that you need to kill them faster than they kill you. Clean frontlines, assist heal with RC, have guardians going around (even if a physical switches off after seeing it, they have so many physicals that another one is probably bound to try and hit the target before guardian wears off). If you want defense, bsurge and smiter are strong templates to beat that.
Against 5 sw and orders flagger, run flags, split with war+ran, and push the flagger as much as possible since he's basically defenseless. As long as you don't lose knights too quickly, they can't respond with much.

If your team is using a smiter, it can be quite nice if he follows the sin removing seeping wound.
Stops the sin from landing his cripple a lot of the time massively reducing his chain, and of course sw's damage itself.
Doing this should make the triple frontline quite more manageable.
With the 5 sin orders, make sure your frontline find if any of the sins aren't carrying bonetti's and just dp those targets.

What is your team running? Monks shouldnt be expected to do everything.
For the Balanced Setup there are several options:
Cripshot should know to play defensively and rupting a chain is not hard at all.
Tell one of your warriors to lineback if needed.
Runner should be assisting when he/she is around.
Your mesmer should be weakening their wars.
As somebody said earlier, WoH should be redbar monking since 5 melees is too much to track.

We are mainly running Duel Ranger with a Bsurge or a FC Water Mes, or a Balanced with the PB switched for an Assassin (also SW, which is our problem :P).

This is one reason I like having a kd war on my team (or even dual kd), they put sins on their asses.
I know I am the only one that runs it in gvg but with 5 sins PD can backline a few chains.
It really helps alot if you have pd hit like 2 or 3 chains and a kd war backlining one of them, or if you got dual kd both backlining some, thats almost all the sins.

Most people coordinate who keeps who clean, and keep up communication of when someone is getting low on energy so the other can take over. Pretty simple concept.

What he is trying to say is : LS sucks in GvG unless you know your absolutely going to face a spike build in an AT, because removing 2 condition in a format where poison spreading (2 cover conditions which isn't uncommon will own you) is meta doesn't work.
Besides, RC is way better in it's conditions removed / health ratio then LS no matter how you look at it, tombzers are just too bad to run RC.

More if tombs ran RC they'd get raped by interupts, botting and not.
An LS prot just doesnt have the redbar capablities needed in GvG that an RC bar provides.
