^Thats not a bad idea. Only problem is I can't see this having too much of an impact on the Kurz/Lux skill ratio as it would be just as much of an incentive for luxons to play better as it would for kurzicks.
AB is still fun for me, I do get a kick out of playing on ancestral and grenz can be fun if you have the right team - but I am getting a little bit bored of them. My understanding is that Kurz had more players interested in getting their ranks because it was so easy to speed farm points with the quest, whereas luxons had to stick to AB/other forms of PvP - therefore, Luxons are more practised and dedicated to the AB.

AB is not broken.
Please, please, please do not try to fix it.
It can only get worse. Just check history for "fixes" on other formats.
Leave AB ALONE!!

Update 21st May
AB has been removed due to having a playerbase "smaller than Ascalon Arena" We have a new PvP arena which we are very excited to present, its pretty much a gayer version of AB itself, will use the same maps, but skill choices will be restricted giving it an exciting sealed deck experience.

Assuming we're not seeing balance updates of very high quality in the near future, that would be far superior to AB if implemented correctly.

LOL. That's a nice collection of builds you got there. I especially like how they are all given names. I will probably try out the 'Muslim Terrorist' next time I log on. 'Burninator' also has a nice ring to it.

Apparently, there's an updated version because some rit skills got nerfed or something along those lines. I'm sure someone else can link us to that one.

Did anyone of u guys know terran is actually r8?
Lol did some rounds with that guy today in a 4 dervish team, that guy is f*cking hilarious really, what a HOOT lololol. We named all our dervs Terran the whatever last name, and we thought the build wouldn't be complete without the REAL rockstar himself. People didnt like our dual WS conjure frontline tho we raped so many people that surprisingly got caught in almighty terrans AoE mayhem it wasn't even funny ^^. Best AB run in ages.

I so wish the Res Orb change can be reverted ... it's the only way to influence a game alone ...

Alright, alright already, I see where you're coming from, because anet tends to often fix shit that isn't broken (mesmer updates, uch uch DERP). But if only they would make it easier to switch sides without having to RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO for guest invites things would already be better

I'm probably gonna get flamed for this but here goes anyway...
One thing that would greatly help the dire state AB is in, is if the guys on the Lux side would stop alliance syncs. Its fun and all but, you know, it really doesn't help the map situation.
The tab-invite kurz have little chance of a win on Grenz as it is, without having to deal with 2 or 3 strong sync teams. Hell, even organised teams have little chance v 2 or 3 sync'd teams.
Just a thought

All the good/decent kurzicks are at JQ farming the terrible luxons
All the good/decent luxons are at AB farming the terrible kurzicks
That is the reason why AB is stuck in the kurzick maps - kurzicks aren't winning

Agree with the above. There aren't a lot of luxons playing, and random teams will pretty much always lose to the major kurzick starting advantage, so those are shyed away leaving people who play organized.

Were not doing it half as ofen anymore, exactly because of what you state there, 2 minute matches were getting boring anyways. We actually sync against eachother nowadays as it's more fun. Most times we end up in the same match it isn't even deliberate.
