To the entire Guru community:

It's with a heavy heart that I must inform you that this site, Guild Wars Guru, will be shutting down on July 1st and will remain in Archive Mode. Over the past 11 years, we've become, and continued to remain, the #1 fansite for Guild Wars, and it's all because to you guys. Without such a strong and passionate community, Guru would have never made it this far and so we thank you for that.

And while we will be saying good-bye to our home here, we will continue to host forums for the GW community over at our sister site, Guild Wars 2 Guru. In fact, you are more than welcome to head on over now and begin posting. If you have any threads you'd like to transfer over, now would be the time.

So once again thank you, and especially those that contributed their time and knowledge to make Guru the amazing place it was. We'll see you over at Guild Wars 2 Guru!

crimson crush Pre-Searing Cadet Join Date: Apr 2006 Profession: Me/	Build for some one with only guild wars one wanting to maybe play this game until cataclysm comes out, but now i have a brand new account since i gave my brother my old one, and im stuck with what are probably mostly outdated skills. Is there a build for any of the jobs that would be competitive in random arenas with only the oldest of spells?

LichReiit Ascalonian Squire Join Date: Jul 2005 Profession: N/Mo	If by Guild Wars one you mean Prophecies I think you'll be fine. Many skills in Proph are still competitive to this day. Many skills that aren't competitive are buffed so that they now are. A good build for a Prophecies only character would be a shock axe warrior. The only modification you'll have to use is you'll need to swap out body blow for executioner's strike. http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:W/E_Shock_Axe

Betrayer of Wind Frost Gate Guardian Join Date: May 2008 Location: Brazil Guild: Agents of Indecision[meh] Profession: Me/	Standard ranger build with apply poison/dshot/savage/lightning reflexes/troll unguent/antidote sig/res sig and either crippling shot or incendiary arrows for elite. Mesmer proph-only build also works. empathy/backfire/esurge/power drain/ether feast/diversion/drain enchantment/res sig
