There are walls of threads on every forum , many leading to same conclusions in how to fix every format . Many suggestions like those too on the wiki , which is supposed to be what they read... Not ANY suggestion ever was implemented....It mostly was useless stuff that did make players quit instead of bringing some... Thus the PvP today...

I think Lyssa's Haste + Aura of Thorns is pretty insane, it shuts down many caster templates extremely well. If you train a BSurge for example, he can't run from you because of Cripple and even if Cripple gets removed he doesn't have time to cast without risking an interrupt. He will eventually have to put up Air Attunement, whereupon you can interrupt it to kill his energy. Unlike with Warriors or Sins, the BSurge can't protect his attunement with blind, nor can he wait till the Warrior is using an attack skill or something to cast (the Derv can still interrupt).

Lyssa's Haste + Aura of Thorns also shuts down Rit flaggers ... so the Rit can put WoW on himself before the Derv gets in range, what happens after WoW runs out?. Granted, Dervs can't usually overextend and train flaggers all game, but if they ever get the chance to (power play situation, one team turtled by Guild Lord, etc) their effect is deadly.

I don't like on-demand, 0s cast, essentially un-shutdownable + unavoidable interrupts and cripple at all. Give them longer cooldowns imo.

Personally this is my list of stuff that needs to be fixed. I would propose the following changes... (not that anyone is actually going to take notice or anything =/) For starters...

Mysticism should be +1 armour per 2 ranks of mysticism when enchanted.

Avatars: Because having an elite that you just maintain by recasting every minute is just terrible for gameplay.

Avatar of Balthazar: Reduced Burning Duration 3 seconds, Reduced Armour bonus to +10 vs physical.
Avatar of Lyssa: Dervish enchantments Recharge 33% faster not 50% faster.

Training stuff, Anet didn't really learn from P-Rage...

Aura of Thorns: Incresed energy cost to 10, increased recharge to 12.
Aura Slicer: Increased adrenaline cost to 5.
Crippling Sweep: Increased Recharge to 8.
Crippling Victory: Increased Adrenaline cost to 6.
Onslaught: Increased Recharge to 15.
Harrier's Grasp: Increased Recharge to 20.
Lyssa's Haste: Increased Cast time to 1/4, Increaced aftercast to 3/4, Increased Recharge to 20, Reduced enchantment recharge effect to 25%

Just like stated above with an addition to
Wearying strike - 7 adrenal - you can gain adrenaline much faster with scythe, and apply it on 3 targets at once so it should cost more than dismember which is lone target skill.
Grenth's Aura - decreased life steal from 20 to 10 - This makes scythe hit for 20+ even though the bottom dmg range is 9.

It's pretty damn simple, because there's no need and absolutely no gain from doing so. For a fairly balanced gameplay with melee there are warriors already and they function well. Nothing in the whole wide world bids you any reasoning for why there needs to be anything else when there's already something working as intended. Especially since there isn't anything to gain from trying to fit 2 classes into the same role without them overlapping and keeping them different.


Warriors have always worked fine as the melee class of choice for flat DPS and spikes. They have a system that's easy to learn but hard to master. In comes randomly buffed dervishes that are easy to learn and have nothing at all to master. If you can't see how it's stupid to substitute for the latter when the former already worked then I don't know if there's any hope for you.

flash enchantments are the problem, needs a 2-4 second global cooldown on them, too spammable one after another, just allows the derv to unleash there wearying and tms on recharge, which in turn couple with grenths and balthazar a degen spreading machine, not even mentioning how broken lyssas haste is.

they're catering to trash player base, because those swallow up anything thrown and them with great appetite and show genuine gratitude for getting yet another headroll class. who the fk needs balance there. its also a good test for gw2, whose main goal will be to attract exactly the kind of player base.

Really all of the derv IAS/IMS Skills should be stances, this would solve a few of the issues.

I like how Flash enchants work and hope they dont dead-nerf it again.
Would like to see some changes on the ability to ignore all the physical/ele armor (perma holy/dark/chaos damage) instead, and vamp scyte should be 3 not 5.

another silly idea that popped in my head is making migraine and frustration not stacking. That shit just gets so old. But hell, as far as I'm concerned this game is getting old :P.

That's pretty easy to do:

-Change all avatars to earth damage (no conjure or orders stack)
-Up the flash cooldown for PvP to 2 or more seconds

Other changes:

-Mysticism armor 1 for every 2 ranks
-Heart of fury attack speed scales with mysticism, similar scale to way of the assassin
-Ebon dust aura bonus damage with scythe attacks only
-Crip sweep to conditional cripple and damage while moving (like bulls), add more damage, shorter cripple, 10s recharge
-Harrier's grasp to attack skills

And that pretty much makes dervs a niche class / super wammo like they should be...

IAS+IMS is still annoying.

After the Derv update RA stopped being fun, the Dervs are more annoying then the monks (the ones that run the PvX wiki builds, the WoH kind) now.

I never had such a problem with any build or proff before, but these dervs just suck all the fun out of RA.
And i dont think there was anything wrong with dervs before the update.
I say keep the new update for PvE and use the old skills for PvP.
