Point here is that it relies on pure luck , since 3rd team killing yellow is included.... However , you can't call the guy a failer for what he did...

wrong. theres vent for communication, who fails depends on what was said on vent. If necro split without telling the team, he is a scrub regardless of what happened. If necro did tell the team and if option 2 happened the rest of the team are noob because they failed to tell the necro whats happening or going to happen on their side.
And yes you can call a guy a failer because of tactics.
Best example of a failer tactics is this: you18 blue16 red19
guy splits to blue base, blue sends 1 guy back. And yes this happens alot.

Anyone who is one of those "lower ranked groups" basically has no chance of getting any wins or fame.
Now, imagine if there were 20 high ranked groups, 30-40 midranged groups, and 50+ lower ranked groups. That'd mean even if you're a new group who can't play with higher ranked players, you still have a good chance of winning and ranking up.

agree on all things(maybe not balance issues). I personnally think that the team builds in HA are very balanced since theres at least 10ish builds that can do good. HoH map is totally unbalanced and can tip to any1's favor depending on how the 3teams want to play it out.

The only way Anet would consider an HA overhaul is:
- Current work gets done on time and under budget. (You can probably stop reading right here)
- Give HA a mechanics overhaul in terms of matchmaking, group forming, player training, and general approachability. See this post: here
- PvP Skill Unlock packs go way down in price (buy all 5 for ~$10, or any one for $5)
- Give fancy costume rewards for anyone UAX (naturally or not)
- More new unique rewards are added for participating in HA. (Zaishen Weapons, tonics, auras, consumables)
- Give players story-driven PvP training missions. Quite literally, force players to win X amount of new HoH matches to be able to unlock some part of the game (a 3rd assassin hero, for example).
This causes:- a new influx of semi-trained PvP players
- income for Anet in the form of skill unlock packs
- more pretty things for people who like pretty things
- HA love from developers

Didn't they say that they were working on an HA overhaul, about 18 months ago?

Last we heard, there were plans for at least one new map, and the formats were being reviewed for change.

But now , with everything that they kept delaying 24/7, we should have dervish update , canthan stuff , HA map , traditionnal skill update , thinking about codex , embark bay , 7 heroes in PvE .
If you add to it that half the updating time will be done on creating costumes ( since it's now a must for them) we probably won't get ever any more update on PvP...
@Skye Marin : good ideas but there are some things such as offering costumes for free that they would never afford. I also think that many points would require a lot of time and thus won't be done ..

The thing is they didn't have the ability to keep people waiting, or the issues with pvp wouldn't be so big with inactivity.

Historically, the learning curve has only been 'high' because most HA players were awful.
Not sure if this is still the case, as it's the most 'rewarding' form of PVP now.

If HA wasn't as subjectively boring as a math class maybe it would be played more.
Know your formula's, think of how to tackle the problem, execute it, don't forget to carry the one, thats HA for you.
Most won't like it, few will.
If there was faster pacing and hot join rooms people would probably jump into it. Until they realized Guild Wars is super team dependent and has a huge reliance on someone to heal/protect you, and they leave realizing they need to have a proper team setup to have fun. That or they don't leave because theres an influx of bad teams, which allows bad teams to have fun facing bad teams and only occasionally lose to the minute few good teams.

I agree that's maybe a too big problem , especially when you know some arenas are " random" based ...However , for HA i don't believe that's really the case, the only problem with it is concerning finding those healers on dead hours....
p.s : math class are much less boring than HA is

If you don't know what you're talking about, you shouldn't comment. (In a non-offensive way)
For starters, everything you said can be said for GvG, and every form of PvP. (You need defence in your build, dur, you need to have a certain synergy in your build to win, dur) On top of this, HA is much more fast-paced than GvG, so by your definition, GvG is even more boring. (Which it isn't)
The last part, however, is something noone can argue with. All the players left nowadays are bad, and that's an obvious truth cuz they were the players that couldn't beat the good teams 3-4 years ago. On top of this, PvE is so redicilously easy nowadays, an influx of PvE'ers is automaticaly a bad influx because for every 1 PvE'er that's willing to go through the "learn and improve"-cycle, there's 20 lining up that simply want to hexway/bbsway/buttonbash their rank so they can flash their shiny emote.
In the old days, there was a huge difference in mentality, partially because PvE was harder back then. (And thus naturally forced people to improve, and made people understand improving and beating other people, aka being competitive, can be fun)
New maps, better balance are all things that would make HA more fun, but the damage has been done. I think I was one of the last people of the old garde left, and I concider myself having quit HA. People nowadays don't even care about improving or skill anymore, they only care about the progress of their fame bar.
Heck, just 5 minutes ago, I watched a MATH member insult a eB member for being a bbswayer () only to get called out himself by a bloodspammer who did nothing but bloodspam for all his rank.
Just illustrating the state HA is in. People don't even recognize what is good and what is bad anymore. It's simply going in, farm fame, flame others, loose and go in again.
HA comes closer to PvE than it does to PvP, and in order to change that, Anet would have to strip all these clowns of their titles and make them actually be good at Guild Wars in order to gain progress in it.
This wont happen, and thus HA will stay dead, but as said new maps and old school holding might make it fun again for a couple of weeks.

Saying only the shit players are left isn't really true.. LOL @"GW-talented" people. Its an MMO, people improve over time. Saying they lost to them 3-4 years ago is not an argument.

I've played HA like 3 times in the past 3 months...it just takes way too long to get a group (guild) going and is very boring to wait for skips and HoH resets.

infi: DoTA 1map wonder still being played i hurd LMAO i hurd that game is amazing shit.
People leave HA because of ganking and a bad community full of shit talkers/gankers where 1 MUST interact with inorder to play due to its heavy dependance on teamplay/build set up/monk requirement where 1person screwing up can cost them the game(hence the flaming->bad community->people leaving->people not sticking around.)
I mean shit look at this killed you man,my ultimate fanboy where he posts nothing but "love" about me. This is the shit that HA players have to deal with, which is why there is so little people left.
game is 6years old bullshit is not a legit reason for inactivity, im sure alot of people can name a whole shit ton of games that people still play and is well over 10years old
MVC2 theres still tournaments for it and its 10years old
CS1.5 people still play that shit and its over 10years old
Anyways I am currently /ragequiting HA because people in HA are super annoying, ganks, bad players who cant listen to sure win tactics, (such as full ganking 1team in last minute to ensure wins or just staying in own base with last kill already assured)

What was incorrect about what I said.
GW PvP as a whole isn't the type of PvP that has mass appeal.

there are tourneys for DoTA and this is a big difference you know. You have a matter to care.
I have played HA for 3 or 4 years. It was my first format where i started to PvP. I saw every large update for HA and i got a lot of fun here. But after i got my rank i lost an interest for format. And nothing can revive it untill Anet makes a new large update.
