Also I think the good ole reverend way overdid his critique, not by what he was saying(it's good advice that you should take to heart) but by the way he said it. I'm assuming he had a bad day at RA and saw your post here basically asking to get flamed. (Personally just hearing "gwguru" the first word that comes to mind is "trollin")
Saying you are "casual" reveals a whole lot as has already been pointed out and it's not an attitude likely to get a lot of supportive feedback from more serious pvpers. It basically says you are unwilling to do what is necessary to improve and for the more competitive people this attitude is hard to understand. More importantly it's the best way to ensure you don't improve yourself, if you truly want to improve by asking people to give feedback you have to leave "casual" behind. Forget all the pve carebear excuses, if someone points out a mistake you make suck it up. Admit to yourself you effed it up and think about how to remedy it.
Let me tell you another word of wisdom. If you openly admit your mistakes other players will react in one of two ways. Most people will hear that you made a mistake and will find it opportune to blame you for everything that goes wrong. This group consists of pretty much 95% of everyone who does pvp. Now you can hide from these by doing what most players do, deny your own mistakes and blame someone else instead. The remaining 5% are the better pvpers though and unlike the rest they will think more not less of you for pointing out your own mistakes. For them it's a sign you are looking to improve and their inner fire will probably lead them to give you advice and a better playing experience. Not to mention they will probably notice your mistakes anyway. So most of the time it pays off to deny your mistakes and blame others, but which group would you rather impress?
Bleh, sorry for ranting and stuff but I'm high on rabbit fever.

I totally understand your points. It's just that if I can't help calling myself casual atm, because up to a day ago, I did not even have gw installed(just reinstalled to see new content). I can make another video showing that I know how to kite and etc, but whatever, that would entail me having to play ra again. Again, I would agree with everything you said... 2 years ago, I don't pvp anymore and i barely play gw itself anymore, I don't care about impressing anyone or investing any more of my time into such things.
Hope your rabbit fever gets better.

I used to care a lot, I took a hard look at myself and realized that there was no point. I was turning into some jaded guy screaming at noobies in ra for doing dumb things as if it was a personnal insult. The competetive spirit is great! People should work to better themselves at something they like. Good for you guys! It's not for me though, I've not got time anymore to care about such things.

@Awry: I don't even think I could play monk just redbarring. A couple of those saves were sheer luck, without even knowing who's on them, etc. I understand you had no mouse when you recorded this, but surely monking should have been your last choice profession to play without a mouse :P
I'd love to record myself monking- or rather would have liked to in the past- however I'm sitting on roughly 300-400 ping. I could wait until September but i'm afraid this thread along with the PvP scene will die out by then (for gods sake, Saints won gold.... <3).
Besides, RA is no longer serious. With the small population RA has now, there are only a few guilds who sync and make your casual PvP a nightmare, and the rest are PvE farmers. You can argue all you want, but I will admit that when I'm playing monk I won't stay with a team that I know will get at least 15+ wins. You do not want to stand by healing and supporting players who you know are not doing their job correctly. What hurts is that you have no power to change that factor.
I'm having the same problem in League of Legends where I'm playing a tank and my DPS team mates are focussing the wrong targets. Same thing. Knowledge is key and nooblets are too ignorant to learn. It's the same with monking in GW. What's so difficult to observe a high ranked game and watch what their monks do? What's stopping you from weapon switching to correct sets that correspond to the right skill? Why do PvE players insist on camping staves (especially eles!)? Ignorance.
Sorry for rant :3
Also, practically everyone who's anyone cancels at 2/3 to jump in with the syncs...
As a famous non-native English speaking nooblet said to me once: "Lets do battle... cancel 2"

what vids said is you are not watching field at all
2nd remove hard hexes as soon as possible(had 3secs to remove depravity before cover)
3rd not swiching sets(better mes would probably ate you on 4casts)
swich bar
you need to clean whole party off hexes, conditions and pressure
----------
Cantos bar is very mixed it has heal divine and prots. Normaly divine+heals are totaly fine. I'd take deny hexes over cure, dwayna kiss over signet, divine spirit over 2nd condition remove.
Playing was fine

The biggest challenge with a PnH bar as I see it is pushing bars back up. Guardian on that bar is massive. I might back Dwayna's as a decent substituation, but Dismiss and Cure Hex are both hugely important as heals as well as backup removal, and I would definitely not put Deny Hexes in there. (I've got PnH, I fear no covers.)
Watch how many times I use Dismiss in that video compared to Patient. (7 to 2) Patient Heals for more, so I'm not even sure that's optimal. I didn't even realise I was doing that. I guess it's because I'm unconsciously saving the Patient>Dismiss chain for when I need a 'big' heal, but I've never really analysed my own skill usage.
