I've gotten to 25 wins on my paragon multiple, multiple times. You just have to have a good combination of skills, execution, timing, positioning, and most importantly team composition and play.

Well I guess this thread is happening, though it has moved to talk about RA.
RA has changed so much over the years. And it hasn't been for the better. When RA had no real rewards (it has had balthazar faction since it was introduced, but it has never been an effective way to farm it) it was just so much more fun to play in. The format is fighting against two major flaws, first the random (or semi-random) formation and that the game is balanced around 8v8.
Glad points changed all of this. At first it wasn't so bad as 10 wins put an RA team into TA where they were at a large disadvantage. This slowly worsened as the 5 consecutive wins is a terrible condition for a format where teams truly enter on equal terms (TA); then players realized that they were far better off in terms of glad points per hour in going into RA than trying to form in TA. Here we had the massive exodus of TA team. It got even worse when TA was removed and the 10 win mark was no longer a point where RA teams got a huge disadvantage.
Way back when RA was a place for new people, trying new builds, or running less-than-efficient builds at a high efficiency. Sure every now and then you would get someone running a highly efficient build, but this was by far the exception.
Now RA is filled with people that care about points more than anything else; these people are now the majority. Run an otherwise standard axe bar but with mending and run that bar extremely well and you will still get raged at and dishonored out. Run a bar that isn't "meta-high-efficiency" and eventually you will get dishonored out. This is the state of RA: its shit.
Now I never (well almost never) run those high-efficiency bars. I don't go to RA to seek high levels of competition; I do it to goof off in my freetime, any glad points are inconsequential. Technically speaking this is griefing. While I'm playing at a higher level that most in RA, both in an absolute sense and in an effective sense even considering my bars, this is still deliberately lowering the effectiveness of my team, which is technically griefing. I can be more effective than other people and still technically grief.
I honestly don't understand what point RA serves anymore.

I think RA does have a purpose Rev. and it seems to me to be exactly as you've said; a place to goof off and have fun. You're right about the "Mending war" thing too.
I had a Charge! war who used healing breeze on me, we won game, I said tongue-in-cheek, "ty for breeze", he replied, "you're welcome, I have cure hex too" I said "cool " Instead of "OMFG u noobzoid" or whatever.
We got 6 wins, bonus glads/box from unexpected team, and most of all I had a laugh with a new player who got his first 5+ run. I didn't tell him to change anything either, he was having jollies. If he asked for advice, then ok.
It's interesting that some people have mentioned taking it seriously, I am curious as to why? A high G title does not offer much E-peen for those who play for that, and as said above it's not the best way to farm Balt. faction.
It's cliqued, but: why so serious?
Maybe syncs happen so people can play with their friends and not get stomped all the time in HA/GvG, or codex. Or show off a newly purchased trim/zrank/fame, I don't know.
Surely sync teams do not think they are good players, fighting against actual random teams with the odd firestorm ranger or charge warriors? how can that make you a better player?
There is no prestige in RA that I am aware of, it's more like a playground, so why bother using an unfair advantage in the lowest form of pvp? You may get more wins/glad points/strongboxes but last time I checked, glad title is scraping the barrel of pvp titles and strongboxes are intended for (OMG!) PvE players, which every pro RA player (lol) flees from being associated with.
On a side note, are syncers not embarrassed? they are announcing to everyone on both teams that they want an advantage to play. Doesn't mean they are good or bad players, that would require replacing the word "want" with "need".
Even those people in this thread, those who say they sync, are really saying they want an advantage, in pvp, in RA, in 2011....
If that doesn't make you smile/faceplam then nothing will

Just a quicky relating to the OP, has [cake] been sold recently? I've seen about half a dozen of them in a single 25-win run today, all not very good players, and one offering membership for 75k (rip off).
This run also included beating a 3-way sync from [gl4d] guild. Someone in my team said they were good (lmao), then we pounded them into the ground.
As I am a carebear now, all I said was:
"You guys should join a PvP guild"

Fair question and I can see that you do your best to exact your opinions of morality on them. But tbh I don't think anything is owed to that community of scrubs. You fail to dshot a vital res sig once in say game #19 in a streak and be prepared for verbal abuse in team chat. Stop to answer the door or get the phone for 1 minute and be sure to be reported for leeching. Just the idea of having a community report each other is just so.. America post-911 aka a shitty community. Or a warm, friendly society in Newspeak.

People will use whatever advantage they can in a competitive format. Clearly you're not a very competitive person or you would have seen parallels to interrupt bots in pvp, snowball arena bots, pve gold farm bots, real life athletes doing drugs, students cheating on tests and I'm sure you can come up with some yourself.
Syncing is not really an unfair advantage either since it's open to anyone, hence why I said you are either a retard or a masochist for playing RA unsynced. Not to let the syncers off the hook, I have no respect for any of the ra sync guilds. I happen to know a couple of high-end and quite able players that occasionally sync and from what I understand they only do this for lack of a better easy-access arena. (hint: TA) If I ever do RA now it's either with a friend or alone as some sort of self-punishment.
PS. Still waiting for that screen of your 2nd 25-win pararun.

gl5d are horrid synch-only RA queens that can only win if synched in with 2 balthazars and a pod necro (and mind that crap is OP as fk even in 'random' setup) or if you have flare eles, doliak sig warrs and necros with pets on your team.

Funny you say that, these were Mo, War and two casters, I think Me and Necro or maybe Me and Ele, not sure. War was shitty, running in a circle thinking I would chase him (I was a grenth derv) instead I just used harriers grasp, throw a spear at him, leave him crippled in the distance way off and turn attention to the squishies.
We were 2 mes, Mo and me as derv.
Btw in RA 1 Grenth can easily beat 2 Balts, again I did so today, neither of them brought a block skill, I did this time, and it was gg with only one use of Twin Moon. Different story in 8 man teams where the balts have mid line buff(frag FD) and 2-3 monks/rits to hold their hands. Good job I met them in RA and not GvG

Lmao, I thought you were trolling
I've not played para in RA since that screen shot a few days ago, but as you asked, and it's a fun challenge, I shall have another go just for you
I might try another build with him, but +33% IAS with no shitty -20 armour is just too much fun....I'll see what I can come up with.
Edit: Can't that guy at the top of the page provide you with picture? although if they're not from recent games I guess they don't count, ie from before derv update.

Tbh I am just trolling you, trying to dupe you to grief another week with that para of yours. But I'm too soft-hearted and carebear-prone to see it through so you're off the hook. Unless of course you really wanna......

lol, thank you for that
I like using the para in RA, all that manly grunting...and he can use some funny builds.
So I wont slog it out for another 25, but I will post when I get a full run with him.

See that's the problem, playing it with the intent to goof off and have fun just doesn't work. If I run anything that isn't at least close to some meta high-efficiency bar, then I'll end up with a constantly rotating team of people leaving after matches and eventually will get dishonored out.
As for [cake] I can't say if the guild itself has been sold, but they are definitely selling invites now.

Saw [cake] playing last week or so, with [WHAT] members ofc, don't think they will be very active playing. And like said above, they are deff selling those invites, so not even near every member you see of [cake] will be a pro or even good.

[cake] was sold a few days ago. So if you see anyone with a [cake] tag just know they are a bunch of crap players who think buying an invite to a gold trim guild makes them good, and not actually the guys from [cake] who won gold.

i dont 'only' synch RA and i dont only win in a synch either - but i put emphasis on situations that tend to happen fairly often (as in my horrid teams getting stomped by derv trains) and thus argument my reasoning for synching when situation requires it be done.
and i usually synch in with 2 people because trying to have more than 2 ppl synch in is something only dedicated synchers are lucky, and dedicated, enough to succeed in.
you ought to know better than try to troll me, jey.

2 mesmers (especially if both dom, but illu with migraine and esurge work evenly well) and an avatar are normally a free 25 win run, so your setup was probably as good as it gets (for RA standards).
one attackers insight or mirrage cloak and all your linebacking efforts will go to waste btw. most are too devoid of brain activity to bring it though.

I feel sorry for those that intentionally run sub-optimal builds. You're wasting player's time and crushing their competitive spirits because of YOUR imposed beliefs. It's abusive and hateful to shatter the hopes of those that enter matches.
I stopped playing Guild Wars a long time ago because I just got sick and tired of it all. I visit from time to time to chat with friends if they're even on, but other than that, I don't play any of it. I used to play RA so, so much.. but ever since the Dishonorable System, combined with the trolling and imposition of heartless game practices [i.e.: using sub-par builds, spamming reports, etc.], I gave up playing... I gave up trying to reach higher titles because the RA trolls won. I moved on and found other games to play, but RA will forever be but a tainted recollection to me.

You've been trolling this thread about how hard it is to get to 25 with randoms, therefore you sync, but all other syncers are terribad players who can't win without syncing.
You whine about how bad TA was before it was removed, then you whine about how bad a decision it was to remove TA, then you whine about how many syncs are in RA, and then you sync RA yourself.
I'm sure you've written somewhere that the number of syncs in RA increased because there's no TA anymore, directly implying that if TA were reinstated RA would improve. Yet if ANet did roll the game back I am certain you will whine about how dead TA is, how ANet has killed TA with game balance, how long you have to wait for matches, and then sync RA anyway to get an extra 10 wins.
Much of your - and several others, such as the guy right above me - posts have become one long complaint after complaint after complaint. To paraphrase Divine Nine, you are smart for realizing this. Now post something useful maybe?

In my opinion , the whole game is filled with people who care about the reward only , but it affects RA especially , as the format is supposed to be " random"...
Basically , some guy can waste all his day not having any point , and some guy with no skill can get a couple of 15-25 runs easily....but as it was said , an other problem with RA is the non fun fights , which are almost all about spamming all your bar on target till it dies....
By playing RA , you obviously see that builds such as El/D invoke , El/W 123 earth ele , eventually 3 rupts ranger clearly have nothing to do in the format.... Quite the same about dervish , considering they can overextend without being worried of dying...
With a such base of OP builds , teams having no monk stand usually 0 chance against teams having one....

that's what you are if you only ever synched RA (even with TA still around - we know who the RA-pur players are) and curb stomped nubie random teams with that.
it's not a troll, but merely a sum up of how one of the trashiest pvp arenas on GW is like.

I have never synched RA when TA was still around. What reason would I possible have for that? Do not mistake me for Gl5d and the likes, please.
I believe it is you who should stop whining about how i am 'whining' and instead acknowledge the fact that most of the things I post about here are things that I, and most of the people from TA that try to RA (and I am quite certain you don't know (m)any of those), experience on a daily basis.
Also, if you REALLY wanna go there: if TA was to re reintroduced, it'd be a completely broken place ran over by derv avatars, smiters and pod or wail necros - and that's something that TA most definitely does not need to come back for. The only thing I wish is they had locked glad title (like hero battles title) and introduced a split one for RA.
Given you're not posting much on topic anymore either, you should refrain from complaining about others that actually did.
