Two noob PvP questions!
1) When the battle is over (win or lose) and before the next one starts, what is the proper way to leave the Random Arena without getting dishonor or any penalty?
2) Are there any random battlegrounds that have you take control points (similar to GW2) but do not require a premade group? I assume Random Arena is all we have in GW1 but want to make sure.
Thanks

1) Wait for the time counter to appear (either "Next battle in 0:xx" or "Back to outpost in 0:xx"). When it does, you can leave without any penalty.
2) Costume Brawl. Also AvA, but it requires a pre-made group.

1) When the timer appears after a win/loss, map to a different outpost or log off/switch characters.
2) Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry.

almost all PvP formats know of capturing control points. So GvG (though not needed, it is a good strategy to control e.g. the flag) hero's ascent (depending on the map type but some need it). Jade Quary, Fort Aspenwood and Alliance Battle all give what you need. Jade quary and Fort Aspenwood are totally at random (so your 7 teammates are determend by the computer). in Alliance battle you fight 12 vs 12, where you enter with a premade group of 4, and are randomly teamed up with 2 other groups of 4.

1) The only way to leave without dishonor is to wait for the time to reach zero, at which point you will automatically be taken to the next match (if you won) or back to the Random Arenas outpost (if you lost). Every other way of leaving (such as map traveling back to the outpost) invokes Dishonor points.
2) Alliance battles is probably the most similar to what you're talking about, but it does require a pre-made group of four, which will then join randomly with two other pre-made groups of four. Thus, Jade Quarry, and to an extent, Fort Aspenwood are control-point type matches with randomly formed teams. Jade Quarry I would consider more "control-point" like, as you capture shrines, guard posts, and quarries.

For 1, if you leave before the next battle timer but after winning, you won't screw your team over, and I assume you don't get dishonor (someone else in que gets your spot)
2, AB is pretty random and reasonably easy to form. It's also the most like gw2. Costume brawl is the same but unavailable outside Halloween. JQ is the last one, random, but bot infested.
