Rits are underused in RA because they are way to dependant on spirits, and with the 3/5sec cast on all the spirits for PvP it does require a lot of luck getting 1 up (no ranger/mes on the other team, or busy targetting someone else). Too many rit skills are require spirits, items or weapon spells to get their full potential, which is just too much of a hassle.

Yeah, they fold against any good team if they can rupt or target the spirit.
It is good at what it does if your team is competent and doesn't overextend from the spirit range. It can blind, degen, coverhex, heal/negate damage and remove conditions. All with infinite energy IF there's a Spirit. The damage is good for a healer, and assists in kills.
Can be very frustrating if it's always targeted though, as you're pretty much useless.

Presenting my RaO Scythe-lamer
Aura of Thorns is swappable with Conviction or Grenths Fingers.
Radiant Scythe is swappable for Scavenger Strike (BM) but slightly more conditional.
I use a zealous scythe.
Edit, lowering BM to 11 and taking 5 earth prayers might be better.

very interesting aoe edenial/condition build I saw someone run that I tailored to my own tastes
D/Mo
14 Myst
13 Earth
Heart of Holy Flame
Aura of Thorns
Dust Cloak
Mirage Cloak
Release Enchantments
Eremite's Zeal
Avatar of Lyssa
Resurrection Signet
Before the battle put up Lyssa and the 1st three enchants, cast Eremite's and Mirage Cloak and try to find groups -> Release Enchantments for mass energy denial and condition spam -> Rinse/Repeat.
Eremite's may not even be needed. Further testing is required.

What do you mean with Aura of Lyssa? The only thing I can think of is Lyssa's Aura, and that's a mesmer skill..
Never mind, you probably mean Avatar of Lyssa.

it should usually be a 4x-5x release, but to answer your question
pretty often, considering lyssa reduces recharge time by 50%, the only thing really slowing you down is inherent 1 sec flash enchant disable after casting an enchantment
is this build effective? eh idk yet
is it cool? yup

because its a cardinal sin to leave such a team. oh my. lord forbit the shitters and horribles get the dishonour instead.
Retards' Arena.

sometimes you just have those days.....Im on my 14th win and run into a 3 monk team. I POLITELY ask them to resign because were on a cool streak, and they grief it out to a draw game. LOLRA. That and protectors defense should be smiters booned.
As far as builds go, harriers grasp blood nec is fun, should try that, so broken.

Why prot defense is fun^^
On the bright side, it encourages field awareness.... somewhat. And reading comprehension skill

It encourages standing still and spamming WoH or Healing Burst.

The same can be said about bonetti.
Well, if the monk's teamate is smart enough to take advantage of his prot's defense, it's reasonable to lose. It's RA!

Bonetti's gives energy when facing bad players - ends on cast
Protector's Defense gives irremovable block for good players - does not end on cast
Does not compute

Are you suggesting that both good and bad players train the monk with block on?
It has 30s recharge so the total up time is comparable with bonetti. You can catch a monk off guard with protector's since its not a stance, not with bonetti. Plus, if the opposite team is aware of protector and stay in the monk's earshot while your team can do nothing to pressure them, game over.
I mean that skill is bad if any degree of organized gameplay is introduced...
