The biggest problem people seem to have in RA is that many just suck and don't want to attribute a loss to one's own stupidity. In 4v4 arenas of any type, individual player skill and decision making becomes that much larger a swing factor. There is one type of match that pisses me off beyond all others: the matches where I can see where I could have won the game, or where I lost us the game. But I think recognizing them and doing something about it, as opposed to merely raging about not getting a monk, is the key to success in RA.
I think there's an old adage that goes: the one consistent element in each of your failures is you. I think people should take that saying to heart when dealing with RA. If you lose more games than you win in RA, that might just be bad luck. It is far more likely that you are doing something wrong. Maybe even several things wrong. The same things. Over, and over, and over again. Hell, even when the other teams are getting monks and you're not, you should be able to pull a good amount of wins. Monks in RA are horribly weak most the time, and even the decent ones can often be obliterated fairly quickly if his team either doesn't kill you in under a minute or he has no off-monk defense. Even in a lot of those games I lose no-monk v monk, I often can score at least one kill. As much as you bitch about all your team-mates sucking, the other team is drawn from the same shitty pool. If you're so much better than them, prove it. Stop whining and waiting for a good team to carry you to 25 wins. Carry your own damn self there.

Pluto, that's all fine and well, but when the warrior with charge and power attack is joining the vampiric gaze necro in hammering away on some E/D earth thing while I'm cutting up the Mesmer, it's kind of hard to say, "well shit, I'm not doing enough here."

• It's from PvX,I just changed some skills
12+1+1 Healing Prayers
12+1 Divine Favor
-Cast vigorous spirit on everyone (especially on you)
-Abuse SoJ,But try to not use it on you since its impossible to trigger the secondary effect
-If your teammate is hexed with alot of hexes, heal with Dwayna kiss first, followed by PnH.
-When under pressure, cast: Vigorous > Patient > CoP.
-Cure hex is a nice heal, use it on teammates with about 80% ~ 85% HP and (obviously) hexed.
I'm a bad monk,but with a good team (Mes,War,Ranger,etc...Balanced) I get 15 ~ 25 wins easily,since the main problem in RA are mesmers and 123noobnecro.
PS: Yes,no guardian.

I can see that working really well so long as you have some anti-physical stuff elsewhere on the team. Cure Hex might be overkill though, and you might be better off with Disciplined or Shield Bash since you lack Guardian.

Yes...having any kind of anti-melee on your team (necro, mesmer) make the run to 25 wins very easy.
Currently melee players (like me,I'm a warrior that also suffers with those necros spamming insidious ) have almost no chance to win in RA because of the weekend.
In other words,a smart player will not play melee in RA on weekends, and will play Necro/Mesmer,while this build counters them perfectly.
Well...Hope you guys have luck while playing this build! (if you play it )

Rangers and Paragons (if you have interrupts) can do alright as long as you make sure to interrupt Insidious, Faint, and Empathy. Of course, if you have a good Monk, you should be able to get those removed anyways.
I spent the first half playing a Power Block Mesmer, had a lot of fun shutting down Mind Blast and BSurge Eles, as well as the VoR Mesmers and Curses Necros. Also, it seems a lot of the Monks running around this weekend like to cast through Shame and Diversion with key skills... I even brought Empathy for the stupid physicals, and had a few kill themselves on me even!
Definitely don't play a frontliner unless you are holding out for a good Monk.

All of the hexshit that floats around RA now is so disgustingly unfun to both play and play against. Regardless of position.
If the VoR/Curses templates died in a fire and WoH took another hit RA might be worth playing again. If it ever was.

Just because the format is on a low competitive level doesn't mean you should throw out basic fundamentals such as positioning while playing it. In fact, why would you? It'd only increase your chances of losing to bad players.

Because a lot of positioning means positioning in relation to your own team. Now, your own team will in 99% of cases run around like headless chickens anyway, so why bother?
Of course in the 1% of cases where you actually get good players you should shape up, I agree with you there.

Oh and, when you happen to midline, there's remove hex, draw, purge and other shit that will make your warriors love you. Taking offremove isnt uncommon in 4vs4.

Ah, the eternal melee x caster war. Melee have the higher armor and higher damage, they must be shut down or every match would be over in seconds...
Hexes are 'shit', but bars with 4 knockdowns are not (Dev Hammer)? Assassin tele-spikes can down a Mesmer or Necro from full health, so can a W/A. You say hexes are 'lame', I say hitting my face with hammer and keeping me on the ground with impossibility to kite is equally lame (can't kite Primal Rage Wars either, btw).
Before complaining about stance Monks and midline casters, take a look at how powerful physicals are if not shut down.

This. I just got done P-Raging in RA, and went 4 matches in a row without being blinded or hexed. Each win took less than a minute.
