been done plenty of times, though your's has been one of the better ones i have seen.

in the end, random interrupts (on 2 sec windows no less) can not compete with good shutdown, so I would not see a reason to play that over a traditional ranger build.

Agreed except for one thing...the element of surprise...especially in RA is valuable. Any decent PvP'er seeing a ranger in RA is going to expect either a degen spammer or an interrupter or maybe a toucher, so people are going to be expecting ranged attacks or toucher style attacks. When most people see an assassin primary, they're usually going to expect close-in melee attacks. When this build starts firing away from a distance, a lot of teams are caught by surprise and that spreads confusion which in turn, buys us some precious attack time. A lot of teams never quite figure out where the 'rupts are coming from until it's too late. It's like when you get a healer hiding under a different primary...(ie. A WoH D/Mo). Yes the heals are not as effective as a Mo primary, but it sometimes takes a while before teams realize who the healer really is and by that time they're usually either dead or well on the way.

Such a large percentage of builds in RA are either PvXWiki, FotM, or else are totally fail, that having something out of the mainstream is an advantage. Granted this is a gimmick build, but hey, for RA it's fun and a change from (yawn) more of the same ol' thing.

You can try things like Troll Unguent and Bull's Strike isn't bad, but feel free to mess around.

I use a 20/20/20 +30hp Domination Staff instead of 20/20 wands + offhands partially because I'm lazy and it's impractical to weapon swap for interrupts.

This is a lot of fun vs everything, especially when it comes to 'omg res me' time because you can signifigantly delay and even prevent ressing altogether.

-Spirit Spammers have no chance.
-Rangers' preps are easily interrupted.
-Drain Veil, use Backfire, Tease Veil, Cry Cure Hex, watch monk crumble.
-Palm Strike or the inevitible lead attack is easy to disrupt.
-Eles... lol.

PnH is a bitch but they're rubbish at healing themselves so those monks don't often last under semi-decent pressure from others.

I tried a boonprot with Boon Signet but it just sucked away too much energy. Other things to perfect:

Me/W: Keystone Signet build, might be able to get up to +50 armor from insignias (only on the chest) and a tactics shield while having 30-40 second disabling interrupts via Signet of Distraction. (Not quite as powerful as a normal spell-based mesmer build and going Me/Mo gives Purge Signet)
Theoretical Dark Arts/Daggers hybrid build using Deadly Haste that doesn't suck. (energy management and Deadly Haste still sucks compared to Deadly Paradox)
A return of the Gale warrior of yore using Warrior's Endurance. (In my dreams)
A hax that will give all users of Defy Pain a fatal heart attack if they're on the other team or a fatal colonoscopy if they're on my team. (think The Ring)

[Keystone Signet][Signet of Distraction][Signet of Humility][Signet of Weariness]blah blah blah optional Used to be pretty good in GvG with a pretty insane recharge on Keystone.

The best thing is asking the question "What if...?" and screaming for joy if it works. (Number 4 is increasingly in my prayers as I eye the "Wammo's in Jade Quarry" thread)

It's not Boon Signet, but I still adore this bar. Dark Escape is so tremendously powerful against most everything in RA (MIND BLAST 12131412131415124132) and Return is still Return. I've been playing around with the optional slot quite a bit: Sig of Rejuv is still great considering I'm bad and waste energy often, Vig Spirit is the best skill ever for pressure relief in 4v4, Spotless Mind is fire'n'forget hex stack wiping, Remove Hex is more pewpewish hex removal, great if Veil gets DShotted but I hardly run it. I've been reintroducing Spirit Bond onto my bar a lot lately because of eles and VoR and (in TA, on a rangerless team) elespike. Go WoH.
