Holy Spear and Spear of Redemption both do pretty good damage for the adrenaline involved either way. Summoned creatures or not.

I love it when enemy monks bring Frenzied Defense and I'm on my Ele. As soon as they start taking damage, they automatically go to their Stance, then get nailed for 250 damage from Ride the Lightning.
Boom.
That, and stances do jack against casters, but I guess physicals are SoL.

Ive been noticing a trend in RA recently with Me/e and E/whatever Ice ele's who use glyph of immolation, steam, and blurred vision. The thing is, they are casting it all on the same target even when there are two martial classes on the opposing team.
Since I don't play blindbots, Im not sure myself...but is there some special bonus to wasting blurred and blind on the same target ? ( besides the coverup for a possibility of one being removed, which IMO isn't enough to warrant it )...or are all of these players just bad ?

You would have to be pretty stupid to run Frenzied Defenses without Protective Spirit ...

this is true. if i play in American district RA, Prot Spirit is always worth the skill slot and energy because of how many people run 455/485 hp. Frenzied Defense WoH or ZB is great in there - i prefer ZB with Frenzied, because of the cost of maintaining PS. I have seen a couple Me/W VoR spammers packing FD, which, unless syncing with a PS monk, is just way too risky.

I can understand taking Spear of Redemption, as that'll get rid of blind, but, still, wouldn't the player be better served by taking Maiming Spear instead of Holy Spear, since snare is t3h hot?

Snare is teh hot, but throwing a spear, though dodgable is somewhat more able to land hits then a ranger with a bow so i would think snaring is not so important on the bar.
On a side note i have been playing about with Enraged Lunge. Pretty Amazing skill, makes my skill bar look like total scrub tho!
R/W
Enraged Lunge (e)
Otyugh's Cry
Tiger's Fury
Charm Animal
Comfort Animal
Res Sig
Counter Blow (Hammer Mastery)
Pulverising Smash
Line backing and damage to softies, or in RAs case monk stomp by your furry friend and monk-stop prevention if you got one on your team. I found it worked pretty darn well!

Enraged Lunge is fun but I haven't used Enraged Lunge since they buffed Scavenger Strike. Thing is retarded with RaO.

[corrupt enchantment][parasitic bond][insidious parasite][spinal shivers][Rigor Mortis][spear of redemption][blazing spear][resurrection signet]
lol, saw this on a N/P in RA - i think the concept might have potential as a hilarious build, though. monkstomp to the max when you can corrupt bad monks' veil. I'm going to mess around with it a bit - i don't think this version is optimized by any means, but it could work.
EDIT: ugh, bbcode is still dead. [skill]Corrupt Enchantment[/skill] maybe? no? whatever. also, Defile Defnses might have been in there instead of the second Shiver spell - in fact, i think it was. No, never mind, it was rigor. changing.

Rotten Swordsman!
RotN is a fun toy for things like RA/AB imo, simply because it allows the warrior to unleash what would normally take time to achieve in 1 click. It allows both normal gain, and a new surprise way of inflicting gobs of damage.
Str 12+1+1
Swords 12+1
Full HP set with %Blind and best vigor rune, with a Vamp, Zealous, and Ebon Sword set, and a Furious or Zealous Spear Set with %Blind.
Rage of the Ntouka [E]
Sever Artery
Gash
Body Blow
Final Thrust/Optional
Frenzy
Rush
Res
I'm sure you all understand basic warrior usage, but one thing to remember is to switch targets A LOT. The reason I can wrack up kills and glads with this fun little build is because of how hard it is to predict. A good monk will follow what seems to be a good enemy warrior, and will watch for your chains and your (what would seem to be pressure), to have an idea of when to preprot etc, but when you unload two rolls of super-fast high DPS on their team, they're left confused and working twice as hard to patch up. I can usually time RotN so the the 10 seconds is over by the time I need to spike, so I can basically spike like this..
RotN.. rush.. RotN.. 10 seconds, spike, switch target, RotN, Spike, then pressure something till you feel like repeating, or repeating some variation of that.
Its not the most state of the art build, but it gets you into action deal a ton of damage faster in these scrimmage situations, and I think its a ton of fun (especially now that I barely play anymore lol). Give it a try!!

I think if you want to make a big instant damage warrior for RA, Warrior's Endurance is the way to go.
Warrior/Any
Strength: 14 (12+2)
Axe Mastery: 13 (12+1)
- Dismember
- Power Attack
- Protector's Strike
- Bull's Strike
- Frenzy
- Rush
- Warrior's Endurance [E]
- Resurrection Signet
It's pretty stupid spam pressure (like a sin or derv), but with bull's strike it can be a little more effective.

An unconventional build would like to improve, based around a deadly arts sin but secondary mesmer.
Deadly Arts 12+1+3 (superior ftl i know)
Inspiration 12
Signet of Midnight (e)
Mantra of Inscriptions
Signet of Humility or Ether Feast
Dancing Daggers
Entangling Asp
Signet of Shock
Signet of Shadows
Res Sig
The damage is great signet activation can be a pain though waiting so long. Considered going Mes primary instead, but not sure... Thanks to good ol' sig of midnight most physicals lose out, Mesmers have a great time interrupting this build but the potential to cripple the opposition (humility + midnight) are big pluses, what with the dmg dancing dagger can do with so many st00pid points specced into it. Can anyone help improve or suggest what is horribly wrong with it. Forgive me, just trying to be original!

Urania, your comment is as useful as a condom machine in the Vatican. Try and be original huh?
Cytherea, thanks. Though you seem to receive alot of stick for your builds i am impressed that you keep trying to bring your ideas to the masses.
Humility does work better, but without a monk self-survival goes down the pan. Its nice to do unexpected damage and watch warriors run for their lives too
