and disarm doesn't drain adren, so it's basically just distracting strike on a worse recharge? At least bash is still a kd.

i love that build - strong prots and even stronger hammarness. esp. considering you can disrupt scary shit with it.

Dunno... Disarm monk can interrupt more reliably due to the better cast time. Of course, there is still the issue of why you shouldn't take distracting strike or, since damage is irrelevant, distracting blow. Hell, you might as well just take a bow and run savage shot for a 5 nrg interrupt, or disrupting dagger. Gains you a better recharge and has some range.
If you suggest d-shot, I kill you.

Why? I think you mixed up D-shot and Savage Shot? D-shot is 5 nrg and Savage is 10 nrg

Last night, I tried out my new Mesmer in RA using this PVXWiki build:
[Ineptitude][Clumsiness][Auspicious Incantation][Conjure Nightmare][Signet of Humility][Power Drain][Inspired Enchantment][Resurrection Signet]
It worked great at shutting down melee, and I had several win streaks of 5+. But I was basically useless against caster-heavy teams.
Because a lot of RA players (and their builds) suck, [Inspired Enchantment] and [Signet of Humility] seem situational. They helped me against a few good opponents, but were often underutilized.
I'm thinking I'll get better results against most teams by dropping those for some anti-caster spells.
What about, say, [Arcane Conundrum] or [Frustration]? Or both? I don't have EotN yet, so I can't use [Confusing Images] .
I was also thinking about a combo of [Ether Phantom] and [Drain Delusions].
Any recommendations, or other thoughts?

What is the usage of the Gust build?
Open with Glyph of Immolation, then Freezing Gust, then Steam/Gust? (With Glowing Ice as needed for energy?)

It plays right left to right. Steam will blind them with Glyph of Immolation + Steam. Then Freezing Gust + Gust. You then use the next 2 skills quickly (since they are KD's, WN,WN will always proc). About it.
It's pretty pro.

Wow, sounds great. I didn't realize that when you use GoI with Steam, the burning is applied first. That's uber.
Is this the right attribute point spread for that build?
Water Magic 11+1
Inspiration Magic 8+1+1
Fast Casting 8+1
Fire Magic 7+1
Air Magic 6
It sucks not to hit 14 in Water, since that would mean a 10-second blind (instead of 9 seconds), but this looks like the best point spending overall.

That is Hax, using Ele runes on a mesmer.
Personally I like running the gvg version of the FC Water Mez in RA
[water attunement][icy shackles][steam][shard storm][glowing ice][blurred vision][glyph of immolation][rez sig]
Its always a good laugh watch a Balthazars Derv coming to a screeching crawl.

Ugh, crap. I'm still a noob.
Wouldn't that build be better on an Ele, then, so you could use the runes? Or are you too likely to be interrupted without fast casting?

Ehm, Its something like
11+1+1 FC
6 Inspirartion
12 Water.
If your a skilled enough player, right after you use gust on a 40/40 water set, switch to a 40/40 air set for gust, switch back to water for glowing ice.
