even if they can still kill me fast, it's enough to stop de the buttonsmashers on RA from attacking, languor is meant for a kind of shutdown, even if the monks remove the hex, he'll suffer from exhaustion, and if you manage to interrupt his hex removal, he'll still suffer from exhaustion.

one pip of exhaustion is not enough to screw over a monk. i ran shock monk in RA and during a 30 second time period i nearly fully exhausted myself and still won all games.

Arcane languor is really only useful in GvG situations when the other team is under heavy pressure and one of the monks will be completely useless due to exhaustion for a long perioud of time.

the build is pretty bad in my eyes compared to other shutdown sources.

Dual Attunement Fire Spiker (really sorry if this has been posted already).

40/40 Wand/Off-hand set.
Highest Vigor Rune
Survivor Insignias on all pieces
Runes of Vitae on pieces with no other runes
Sup Fire Magic rune
Minor Energy Storage rune (optional but helpful)

Fire Magic 12+1+3
Energy Storage 12+1

I've used this a lot in both AB and RA and have had almost nothing but success! This build will suffer from your average caster shut downs but this build can and WILL completely obliterate any and all enemies standing near each other, as usual target the monk or whoever is healing first, by the time you hit them with Rodgort's they will be attempting to heal most likely. By which time Liquid Flame will be hitting them if you're casting in the correct order, and will damage surrounding allies. Like I said I've been using this build for as long as I can remember on my Elementalist and have had tons of success with it.

[skill]Incendiary Bonds[/skill][skill]Rodgort's Invocation[/skill][skill]Liquid Flame[/skill][skill]Glyph of Elemental Power[/skill][skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Elemental Attunement[/skill]

Cast first 3 skills IN THAT ORDER!
Keep the Glyph and both Attunements on your to ensure optimal efficiency!

The two last spots are yours to fill, but I suggest [skill]Aura of Restoration[/skill] and of course res sig! I am aware that the cooldowns can be an issue at times, but the initial spike of this build is vicious. Constructive criticism is welcome

On that ele build

Remember to cancel out if a ranger or mesmer starts attacking you, and stay out of their range as best you cant. Rodgort's is almost as bad of an interrupt bait as Res sig and aegis.

Not really. In TA, when I run dual wars, rend is on the hammer and rip on the cripslash.

Edit: @ the sin build, generally, anything requiring only pressing 1=> 8 is baed.

i just started to get back into pvp, in ra now... what i mostly see there is dervish and assasin..same ole every time...i was just wondering if someone can throw me a great anti derv/assasin build, thanks

i dont see whats so special about corrupt enchantment
i think rip does just fine as a nonelite fast recharging enchant removal with a degen bonus

Yeah I agree, add in Rip Enchantment and replace Corrupt Enchant with Wail of Doom (use it while it's OP (in 4v4 situations anyway), thats if you can use it right). Insidious Parasite will fair well against RA melee.

Here is a build for anyone who wants to try something different. Its not a fantastic build in any way, but its great for lulz and works surprisingly well considering how crappy of an elite Ravenous gaze is. Of course, this build ONLY works if you don't get a monk in your team.

[skill]Ravenous Gaze[/skill][skill]Dark pact[/skill] [skill]Jaundiced gaze[/skill] OR [skill]Blood of the Aggressor[/skill] [skill]augury of death[/skill][skill]awaken the blood[/skill][skill]Shroud of Distress[/skill][skill]signet of lost souls[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

Blood magic: 12+1+2 major or +3 Superior
Shadow Arts: 6
Deadly arts: 6
Soul reaping: everything else +1 minor

The build works as follows for those who don't notice right away:

Step one: Cast shroud of distress and awaken the blood.
Step 2: Cast augury of death on your target.
Step 3. Attack with Dark pact/ect until your life is below 50% ( Awaken the blood should cause you to deal more damage to yourself then to them. You want this. )
Step 4. Lawl at warriors/sins/rangers who try to spike you through Shroud.
Step 5. Ravenous gaze your target - They should be well below 50% now as well, but augury wont trigger since life stealing does not count as damage. This allows you to follow with dark pact which will trigger augury for a surprisingly quick spike.



TL; DR its basically a more useful version of the Grenth balance spike that gets around the problem that GB spike has: our target actually has to have life. With this version you can keep Dark pacting your health down and ravenous will deal 125+ life stealing damage regardless of were they are at.

Hello everybody , I was working on a hammer KD warrior , and I finish up with this build , helping with assassin's kd skills, please give it a look and tell me what do you think or how to improve it.

Malevolence's W/A Hammer KD build:
============================

Att. points are very easy , no needs of sup. runes , but sup. vigor if its possible , sup. absorb, minor Str , minor hammer and attunement with stone fist insignia[1] and radiant insignias[4] for energy.

Hammer: 12 +1 +1
Deadly Arts: 12
Str: 3 +1

A customized hammer (+20% dmg) with max damage , 15^50 , +30hp and double adrenaline on hit will do the job.

In total you will end up with 29 energy and 560hp.

Skills:

[skill]devastating hammer[/skill] [skill]crushing blow[/skill] [skill]heavy blow[/skill] [skill]Iron palm[/skill] [skill]entangling asp[/skill] [skill]"for great justice!"[/skill] [skill]Rush[/skill] [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

-Recharge your adren. by hitting a "fake" target until you have 1 and 3 ready. Once you have them ready you can start the combos:

Combo for 60/80 armor targets: 6,1,2,3,hit,4,hit,5,hit,3,2
Combo for 100 armor targets: 6,1,2,3,hit,4,hit,5,hit,1,2,3

Example:

-Master of healing actually died with only : 6,1,2,3,hit,4,hit -> Pretty fast

Remember that "timing" the combo is the key

-This build KD the target 4 times and gives conditions [3] , is capable of kill a 100 armor target in 1/2 combo and monks in only 1 combo ! The KD combo is almost infinite (if timing correctly).

-Use [skill]"for great justice!"[/skill] when 1 and 3 are recharged and start the combo.
